Who do you think the best classic rock band(s) are?

...

The Beatles imo

The Who
Led Zeppelin
Blue Öyster Cult

What music today carries on the legacy of classic rock? What artists and genres are the modern descendants?

Depends, are you strictly talking dadrock or do you include most rock from the mid 60s to the late 70s?

easy

The satan worship puts me off sadly. Great live show though.

foo fighters

The Doors

And

That's about it, really. Nirvana a little bit if they count

>satan worship

its tongue and cheek tho

>in*

Is it though? People say that but it really doesn't feel like it is. Their songs are explicitly about Satanic themes and there is at least one song (He Is) that is literally a sincere worship song but it is about the devil.

It's just a gimmick. Like Iron Maiden.

They take it a little further. I refuse to believe that there isn't some degree of genuine satanism between them.

>He Is
it was originally a love song called "she is" but was purposefully changed to "he is" to fit with the gimmick.

Sometimes you have to read between the lines. These guys use legit satanic imagery, symbolism and ideas in their art, I doubt there isn't a degree of sincerity to it.

kek
there is plenty of real satanic bands.
ghost is not one of them, its a total gimmick. a through-back to early metal.

Queens of the Stone Age. You can hear influence from all the classic rock groups. Alt rock has shifted instrumentation to be more dynamic but they're probably the closest sounding active today. Phenomenal stage presence too.

>through back
did you mean throw back?
i forgive you

You know your pic took a lot of their sound from my pic right?

who's that lesbian looking guy?

Grateful Dead.

Rodger Hodgson

from the 60's to whatever 90's bands are good enough to be considered "classic"
