what should I watch next :-)
Also best cut of the shining is the two hour cut.
Hearing good things about Toni Erdmann, Nicolas Winding Refn doing his usual "I'll say any retarded shit to be provocative" routine and Woody Allen getting BTFO twice.
Lookin good
kstews film got booed apparently. I want to see it even more now
Booed in cannes=usually the best film of the festival
Wanna fuck the fox
don´t we all want to?
I'm probably going to watch The Magnificent Seven tonight
Posting here because neo-Sup Forums is shit.
This is a powerful piece of cinema and I think that It's one of the greatest films since 2000.
It's not perfect, but it's a diamond in the rough.
In some ways, the rough is what makes it so great. It's not a squeaky clean corporate product.
It's one wierdo's crazy vision of a conflicted man's descent into hell.
This will be remembered as an achievement in pop art long after the Disney Wars have faded into the ether.
Dolan, Refn, and Sean Penn got eviscerated by Cannes. Feels good bros.
fuck off the prequels are shit, the originals are the best and TFA was fine.
naff off ya plebby webby twat bebby
>TFA was fine.
You can't possibly post in this general and have that opinion.
I like III the most, but I'll never say it's better than IV and V
>muh quantum entanglement
pic related is gonna put the prequels to shame
WHY IS Sup Forums BEATING US AT OUR OWN MEME
THEY CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
>Oh no, i have an opinion that differs from this big hivemind of a general.
Lmao fuckboy, times have changed. Get uses to it or begone, kiddo.
whats with everyone watching Furry:The movie
I know this is bait but:
Prequels are really really bad movies that people have started to like due to contrarianism and baiting people (like Batman v Superman).
And if some of you simply believe that George Lucas made episodes 1-3 for "art" and star wars became a cash grab when Force Awakens was released then you don´t really understand how star wars has worked as a brand for years.
also that picture is really unimpressive and the shots are pretty generic
refn is killing it at cannes
>I know this is bait
It's not.
We both know that it's not.
Someone spread yikes. This will really piss them off.
Why the fuck not tho.

I think a ten-point scale is too short, so I have it divided into groups:
>5: Movies I really liked and would watch over and over
>4.5: Movies I had a few issues with but like, would watch again.
>4:Movies I had someissues with, may not watch again.
>3.5:Movie has significant problems, rewatchable.
>3:Movie has significant problems, unrewatchable.
>2.5: I laughed at this
>2: Movie so bad that it's unwatchable.
>1.5: Gaping holes, film is bad but has a certain ironic appeal which makes me laugh throughout the duration of the film.
>1:I regret watching this
>0.5:I watch this to drive people away.
>0:I haven't watched it
yes he can, he fits right in. Neo-neo-neo lbg has objectively shit taste
Does anyone here know where I can find this? I've been hung up on it for a while, can't find it online and I'm not prepared to shell out $100 for a DVD copy.
*tips fedora*
*mouthbreathes heavily while talking about his TFA figurines*
it's on PTP lil embryo
I'm seeing Mirror and Stalker next week, I just wasn't in the mood tonight
Yeah, I kinda figured. I'm not, unfortunately.
I don't understand how anyone who isn't white can identify with the characters portrayed in films. Films that are considered canonical masterpieces, films from the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, etc. have virtually no other protagonists than white characters.
Luckily, I have the huge privilege to be white, and thus I don't really need to worry or think about it when I watch a movie. But if a movie casts a purely white cast, I can't imagine how conflicting that is for the nonwhite viewer. Say, for example, an African-American that *loves* movies sees the film *Rear Window*. It's impossible to deny the technical mastery of Hitchcock, but isn't it also impossible for them to competely fall in love with it because it feels like the movie is being indirectly racist by casting not a single person of color? As a white person, I don't ever have to think about this, therefore it's much easier for me to like the movie than the African-American individual.
How do People of Color feel when they watch a movie such as "Gone in the Wind", a film considered a masterpiece among a handful of film historians, but one that also denies your life and experience as valuable?
I honestly cannot comprehend the profound racism of Hollywood, not only for its white casting, but also for denying thousands of people the experience of falling in love with a movie; denying them the experience to be cinephiles. I would like to see white audiences be more conscious of the privilege they have in enjoying the overwhelming majority of movies made.
Furthermore, I rarely see this discussed on forums like these (probably because the majority of people here are white) so I would appreciate your insight on this topic.
I know I'm falling for obvious bait but why would I watch a film to identify with the characters?

How come the first part of the human condition wasn't as good as the others?
it's just some minnor things
i should have rated it 5/5

rather sad innit
Because I'm not a fucking racist
I genuinely DGAF about where certain types of people are supposed to live unless it is integral to the plot
