It'd be much much worse if he didn't buy an album he liked only because it gets posted on an anime website frequently

monotheist fuck yes

Nah I'm 20, nearly every CD I buy is used so everything on there I probably paid only a few bucks for. I just collect and crate dig for them in thrift stores a lot. Give it a try.

Lovely superiority complex! I don't want vinyl. With CDs, I don't have to constantly keep maintaining them whenever I play them and worry about stuff like dust getting into them, finding the right player that won't damage my media, or worrying about them slowly deteriorating whenever they're played. They're smaller, cheaper, easy to put on a computer and carry them with me whenever I travel, and I can replace the jewelcases if I buy them used and the case is damaged. I can't do any of that with a record. Vinyl crackling aggravates me too.

great stuff

3/4

Ive been out of the vinyl game for a few years now

What's the Unwound boxset?

CD:
Yuck S/T (was $1)
South Park Chef Aid

Vinyl:
Either/Or: Expanded Edition (Pre-order Buttercream Splattered)

Thinking of picking this up.

...

That's ridiculously overpriced. I got an LP-120 for that price.

Also: got these yesterday and today after gotting a record store gift card for christmas and hanging around in thrift shops

$245? What the fuck?

My ATLP120 was like $230

DUde that shit on amazon is like $80 don't waste your money there

It's Australian.

CD rules!
Until 15 years ago it was the easiest and most convenient way of listening to music. There was a reason why at some point everyone discarded the vinyl format and switched to compact discs.
It's cool to collect vinyl pressed before the beginning of the digital age (up to mid-late 80s), otherwise you are just buying cds pressed on vinyl, most of the times.

I got mine for 70! Just go into a record store and pick up a turntable with a counterweight it's better than the lp-60 and probably cheaper

I only see Crosleys around for more.

Talking Heads - The Names of This Band is the Talking Heads
Discharge - Live in Toronto
some byrds compilation
a tribe called quest compilation
36 chambers
stevie wonder - innervisions
sly and the family stone - stand!
sleep - dopesmoker
pixies - doolittle
peter gabriel - so
nails - abandon all life
m b v
bitches brew

low end theory

It's in Australian Dollar.
Over here, LP120 go for like, $450 AUD.

It'd be much worse if he got his taste and spent money on things he's learned about from an anime website.

Trying to get more records.

You're doing alright

Oh! And I also have a repressing of JD's Substance.

lmao, thats my picture.
It's supposed to be used in jest dammit.

& singles, mostly punk (only pic I have, I'm away for the holidays)

Is that a Martin DRS-1?

I had one in high school. Wish I had never sold it.

I have a few hundred pounds of CDs in my trunk.
I was a huge collector and listened to them all, but since the digital age is upon us, I use them just to add more weight to my car in the winter.

It's a J-15, and yes I love it.

I recently acquired the Kallax shelf for my records. They were previously in milk crates so having this new organization is a godsend

Been collecting about a year now.

Also just picked these bad boys up last weekend, can't wait to get home and play them.

Oh shit dude that Lorca original pressing is tight. Great goddamn album, do you listen to much Buckley?

The ones that are hard to see are Björk - Debut, and Station To Station. I also have The KLF - Chill Out on CD, just because. (my record player doesn't even take CD's)

some sweet albums there, OP

++Burzum

noice

Here's a better image

Bump

Not Available by The Residents is also in there, though it's pretty damaged on the side

>It's cool to collect vinyl pressed before the beginning of the digital age (up to mid-late 80s), otherwise you are just buying cds pressed on vinyl, most of the times.

This needs to be said more often. Vinyl retains it's value much better if you take care of it though.

I feel like we'd be good friends, you got a fucking good prog collection

is it okay to store vinyls horizontal? why does everyone have them upright?

If you store them horizontally improperly they can warp

probably bait, but it stops them warping under their own weight if they're vertical

storedj.com.au/products/AUD-LP60USBBK

much better australian price

imgur.com/a/vqM2O

nice music but who doesn't own these already?

looks like a library

dude black metal lmao

i would have loved to have these if i were 15

what is that between gang of four and devo? australasia?

pretty good, definitely get some sleeves for your records and get more noise rock as that shit goes for pretty cheap

all that empty space tho

if anyone is sharing (you)'s i'll post my collection

He's my favourite artist, I've heard every album he's ever done.
It's a mint LP too :)

looking good

good start but lots of space to fill

>i'll post my collection
then post it man

...

Dude Buckley was such a fucking visionary. Great find on that Lorca, I have a repress but I've been dying to find an original pressing. I have an original Goodbye and Hello in pretty good shape though.

who here is using an LP60? I want to know how you guys clean the dust off of your records because I just got one and there's no way to spin the platter without the stylus engaging.

Nope there's nothing wrong with spending money on things you like, regardless of where you found it from. Unless he buys them for the image, there is no problem

nice collection

dont let your records get dusty

Nice dude, the place I got that Lorca also had an OG mono Goodbye and Hello but it wasn't in great shape.
I asked buddy to play it to make sure and decided to pass on it. Bummer, I'll get it one day.
I also have original Happy Sad and Starsailor though.

>australasia

Am pleb judge immensely

brilliant collection btw

Forgot these yes that's AM and yes I know it's trash.

The cassette was Discordia, he sent it to me for free because he didn't have any copies of Traumnovelle. Super nice guy, but seemingly troubled.

>Discordia

You need more bowie

>looks like a library
Yeah I'm organized

Yes I do.

Really nice stuff dude, I need to get a copy of Saudades.
