I want rather a Path Of Exile movie

that would be a great movie

Literal mobs. CGI mobs. China buy 5 billion ticket. US movie fan go home.

Idris Elba as Tyrael

Not gonna happen. Angels and demons but no Christianity would confuse the shit out of the plebs

Does it even have a story?

Also THE ROCK is gonna be the Barbarian.

>does it even have a story?

what did he mean by this

The Druid was muh favorite you guys

that's a big shaft

JLaw as Diablo

>D2:Lod for 8years
>never made a Hammerdin

chinks dont give a fuck about diablo

bump

CONNERY AS DECKARD LOOL

Fuck was I addicted to this game back in the day. Had a kickass bone/spirit necromancer with enigma armor.

Also the high sparrow dude could probably do Deckard Cain or whatever that old fucks name was

The first one has a story that could actually do very well in an fantasy-horror movie, I'll just copypaste it from the Diablo wiki

>The story of Diablo is based on an eternal war between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells. The Prime Evil known as the Lord of Terror (Diablo, one of three) is awakened from his Soulstone prison underneath the town of Tristram, and brings terror to the populace.

>As the player explores the labyrinth underneath Tristram Cathedral, the character learns more about the conflict, and about the Prime Evils. The player also learns that the hero is there to avenge his family who were killed by Diablo.

>Before the events of the game, Azmodan and Belial with many other Lesser Evils takes control of the Burning Hells and banishes the Prime Evils into the world in an event known as the Dark Exile. The archangel Tyrael gathers together mortal heroes to create the Horadrim to fight and imprison the Prime Evils in Soulstones. Mephisto is captured in Kehjistan and imprisoned under a Zakarum temple in what will eventually become Kurast, Baal captured in the Anaroch desert, near Lut Gholein. Tal Rasha, the leader of the Horadrim, sacrifices himself to capture Baal in a damaged Soulstone. Diablo is captured by a group of Horadrim monks led by Jered Cain in Khanduras and his Soulstone is buried in a cave near the river Talsande and a Horadric monastery with a network of catacombs is built over the burial spot.

>The prison of the Soulstone weakened over the centuries and when the northern lord Leoric (retconned to eastern lord) comes to Tristram and calls himself king, Diablo tries to possess him. King Leroic withstands the attempt, but is driven mad in the process, starting war with the neighbouring kingdom of Westmarch and kills anyone who opposes him. When his trusted advisor Archbishop Lazarus kidnaps Leoric's son to be possessed by Diablo instead, Leoric loses his last vestments of sanity.

>Lachdanan, captain of King Leoric's army, returns from the disastrous war and is forced to kill Leoric. Leoric curses Lachdanan and his followers with his dying breath. Not long afterward, Lachdanan and the king's guards are attacked by Leoric, resurrected as the Skeleton King, as they attempt to bury him.

>Under the premise of finding the missing prince, Lazarus led Tristram townsfolk into the labyrinth, to be slain by a demon called the Butcher.

>The game begins shortly after. The player descends through the levels into Hell. On the way the player kills Archbishop Lazarus, the Skeleton King and eventually defeating Diablo's mortal form, leaving him trapped in a soulstone. The hero's character pierces his/her own head with the soulstone, attempting to contain the demon and bring him to the sages of the East.

>In Diablo II it's ironically revealed that this is what Diablo had planned, as the hero would be a better host than the prince. Diablo II continues the story, with Diablo having possessed the hero who killed him. Canonically, the character class that defeated Diablo was the Warrior.

The druid was just a shit necromancer.

Here's what we do, have warrior as MC of the first movie where it's made pretty clear that he has no connection to leoric.
Then in the third movie we claim that he has always been the son of leoric, reconning story from the previous films.

yeah im sure they'll realistically create the feel of d1. tristram, that brooding sense of doom as you delve deeper as the music gets more ominous and by the end it's a sizzling distorted mess and spires of bone stick up out of oceans of lava etc

>Implying they can top the diablo 2 cinematics.

here's our mad king leoric

Let Del Taco direct it, give him 150 mil budget and make it pg 18, and everyone will be happy

D1 is the only one that could make a good movie.
D2 has way too many playable characters to make up the party and D3 just has a trash story.

Gerard Butler as main character's actor.

Make it campy as all fucking hell

D2 has the best settings tho, id love to see the desert from act 2 ir the barbarian land from act 5 on the big screen

>wanting to see another fantasy desert area instead of the butcher

>diablo 3

will it ever stop hurting?

FOOL!! You cannot even begin to imagine what you have set in motion this day.

Christian Bale as Imperious

dunno, i just have fond memories from when i played id as a kid and i fucking loved the desert city, the whole area as a whole and all the tombs and insect nests to explore

never played the first game tho, so theres that

>best settings
So you would rather see fucking sand than a church basement that gets more and more warped as you descend into hell?

Played it on release(friend of mine gave it to me since he was really disappointed after a week so i didnt have to pay anything, thank god)it was so unremarkable, i dont even remembrr the acts right now and couldnt even bother trying higher difficulties once i finished it.The only think i remember is that diablo was female and tyrel was black.

Ive heard that the expansion is great tho and apparently fixed the game, but cant be bothered trying it

sewers
worm lair
ancient tombs
arcane sanctuary
palace basement

ive got fond memories of kurast but seeing a dungeon slowly becoming more crazy would be way better

Amy Schumer as the Cow King

Idris Elba as the Sorcerer

not him, but I honestly found the setting of Diablo 1 to be pretty boring. The one thing it did better than Diablo 2 was eerie atmosphere.

No thanks. When I look at how they destroyed the Diablo franchise with the 3 and the pathetically childish story they created, I don't even want to see a movie about it. Especially because again we will have Chirs fucking Metzen at the writing.

Diablo 2 would be split into 3 or 4 parts depending of if they do the expansion or not.

wasn't diablo 2 lod 5 acts?

Did Metzen write Diablo's lore?

The drood was literally kevin costner

Yes but they could get two of the acts into a single movie, probably 1 and 2.

end of act 2 isn't very climactic

Metzen wrote 3 and also the clusterfuck that is wow, 1 and 2 were done by staff of blizzard north, none of which worked on 3.

All I care about in a diablo movie is a representation of the characters becoming more powerful and finding better gear.

I want to feel them level up in the movie and I want a large amount of focus on the equipment they use and its effects.

>reminder that there was a Diablo 3

tyrael wasn't a nigger in d2

jesus man
i would sacrifice a left nut to play black deckard cain

>inevitable
Warcraft is going to crash in the US and they arent going to make a profit off China

Blizzard is on its last legs, they are desperate and all their games are fading into obscurity

How do you know

His VA was tho

Think we'll get a Starcraft movie now?

I wonder who'll play Kerrigan?

...

They'd cast Scarjo wouldn't they?

How would play the role of bugs and fps drops in Diablo III?

because his race wasn't specified in the game or outside of it by any of the lore writes

Why not a movie following the exploits of the warrior in Diablo 1?

Plus the Warrior turns out to be the first son of Leoric.

The wizard ends up in another dimension and the rogue becomes one of the first bosses you kill!

So in the sequel we'd see these heroes we love, turned into evil incarnation of themselves.

so, this means he actually could've been black

Don't they keep everything hidden on an angel anyway?

Idris would just do voice work until he becomes mortal. Personally I'd just rather the guy from the game voice him.

I always thought he was black because the paladins were black and he was an angel, kinda worked

wot m8

there latest game sold more than 7 mil copies

hearthstone shits money with almost no investment required

even wow as ded as it is turns a lot of easy money

Overwatch movie when???
who will play Tracer?

Kill yourself.

the whore she was based on

whos this fluid druid?

former cosplayer/model that blizzard hired
one of the people working on overwatch was dating her while developing the game

>playing anything but zealidin

>former cosplayer

name?

zeriyah or zerinax

Too big I think.
Save him for the Paladin.

based, thanks

>1 and 2 were done by staff of blizzard north
Metzen was a writer for d1 and d2.

Idris Elba as Deckard Cain

>the paladin is black

when will this meme end?

Alfie Allen as Marius

mad whitey?

if dubs Adam Sandler as Duriel

Why not Tyrael? They already turned him into a nigga.

>what i want
grim dank nightmarish hell
>what will be delivered
spooky wow

>mfw Starcraft 2 actually had a decent story

I'm impressed famssss, I only played wings of liberty but the story was almost movie level good. All video games have horrendously terrible stories. Even Planescape famsss.

t. /lit/

>tagline
>"An ancient evil awakens"
>story is about a brooding warrior whose wife was killed by a demon.
>he finds out it was Angels
>he goes into heaven with Diablo to wreck shit
>Diablo betrays him at the end and sticks a stone in his head
>he becomes the Butcher

rude

yes. it's fun as fuck now

>it's the first word of this sentence.
>it's

So it's gonna be a movie where a hero joins bots in baal runs?

>starcraft 2
>decent story
Oh you only played WoL, your opinion is nothig

>diablo 3
why dont you just go kill yourself

nice bait

>leoric
>diablo 3

why dont YOU kill you are self?

>paladin/druid masterclass

literally one of the funnest weapons on a werewolf druid right here

>only 8 years
>not 15

alright, i'm decently riled. 4.5/10

>youtube.com/watch?v=5sWnxMTEkGE
>not very climactic

how dumb can one person be

Diablo 2 movie:
>is taking place in act 1
>old buildings full of blood and bodies of dead children
>mutated people everywhere trying to kill you, monsters eating people and all this shit from berserk
>main character is barbarian that have nothing to do with main story
>he dont want to help village
>met the guy
>"Greetings, stranger. I'm not surprised to see your kind here. Many adventurers have traveled this way since the recent troubles began."
>you carry on your business trying to find way to the west
>massacre
>entering the catacombs
>blood, bodies, symbols, darkness and shit
>he found a body of a knight
>its paladin who died while trying to kill main boss and help villagers
>entering the last room
>silence and darkness
>andariel is sitting on her throne drinking blood with bodyparts
>dialogue
>fight
>you now carry the quest because evil is watching you and you have no choice

I would watch something like that

>and the award goes to....
>giant black wall just outside the bridge from Rogue Encampment!!

The answer is no. It has a bunch of retconned setting bullshit but the story is you hit mobs, you go deeper, you portal to town and you stay a while and listen. Rinse, repeat. That's it.

Did you even watched the cinematics? There are whole story
