What would be the third trilogy here?

What would be the third trilogy here?

Indy

You need to find valid 1 and 2 beforehand.

Back to the future and Meet the parents trilogy

...

>manchildrens fave trillogies
Harry Potter
Captain Quipmurrica
Star Trek

1 and 2 are shit though.

The Godfather

Yeah the third is weak, but so is Return of the Jedi.

Godfather

How dare you compare 2 to 1 ?

Not a narrative trilogy, but maybe Carpenter's Apocalypse trilogy?

The Thing - Prince of Darkness - In the Mouth of Madness

I know Sup Forums loves The Thing, not sure what they think of the other two.

Or maybe the Cornetto trilogy?

Before... trilogy obviously

...

Antonioni's malaise trilogy is the greatest trilogy in film history.

these or the Toy Story trilogy.

pusher

Evil Dead

cornetto

...

...

...

>tfw you're old enough to forget most people here saw lotr in their formative years (6-15) which is why it's so overrated on this board

Return of the King is straight up garbage, but I can give the other two passes for being mostly entertaining.

yes. and maybe back to the future.

...

Back to the Future
Blood and Ice Cream trilogy.

This is the only correct answer

Slash thread

3 Colours trilogy
Godfather trilogy
Pusher trilogy

Wtf, Rocco Siffredi was in hollywood?

Toy Story

Oh my god, TV is so pleb.

Amores perros

I know, Star Wars is fucking terrible how dare people compare it to LotR.

In fairness most trilogies are pretty pleby, with the exception of Kielowski's masterpiece.

...

This is embarrasing. What's truly disgusting is that this isn't bait, you actually consider those shitty kid flicks the greatest of all time. You make this world a worse place, go fuck yourself retard

There's really no other option.

...

three colors
wong kar-wais love trilogy

Patrician checking in. I would choose

Ozu's Noriko
Pasolini's Trilogy of Life
Ray's Calcutta Trilogy

If anybody needs help choosing better movies or improving their taste, I'll be lurking this thread for about another five minutes.

Godfather, Dollars Trilogy, Bergman's God movies, Terry Gilliams Dystopian (third movie is pretty bad but meh), 3 colours, Before..., are all better than fucking LoTR and Star Wars

who is u r waifu

>Ozu's Noriko
filtered

The Dark Knight Trilogy. Don't act contrarian, the first movie is a great movie, the 2nd is literally 9/10, and the third one made this board great.

It's pure entertainment

>"Citizen Kane is my favorite movie"
>"Godfather is the greatest trilogy of all time"
>"muh kino, muh absolute kinography mutha fucka"

>Bergman's God movies
He has much more than three...

I have sex with women

None of them are above 5.5/10

Does Sup Forums not care for Antonioni?

Talking about Through a Glass Darkly, Winter Light and The Silence, obviously.

>I have sex with women
Fuck off

>"I have sex with women"
>t. person who doesn't have sex with women

>not Babel/Birdman/Revenant

...

Birdman and Revenant aren't part of the trilogy, have you ever watched Iñárritu's movies?

That's his Trilogy of Silence, which focuses on spiritual crisis rather than the concept of God specifically

Down, virgins

make it best pleb trilogy and we have a deal

>which focuses on spiritual crisis rather than the concept of God specifically
All of them focus on God's silence, you tit

It could be, if it wasn't for Tokyo Drift ruining the trilogy

You said Bergman's God trilogy, which doesn't make any sense because the films aren't connected by God per se but rather a shared body of thought and emotion on God. The connection lies in the abstract contemplation of God, not the idea of a God. God as a parental authority figure permeates perhaps all of Bergman's oeuvre. In the future, please refer to the Trilogy by its accepted name, that being the Trilogy of Faith or Trilogy of Silence

These
You're doing Gods work

>You said Bergman's God trilogy
Do you know how anonymous posting works?

>The connection lies in the abstract contemplation of God, not the idea of a God.
Please explain what the difference is between "abstract contemplation" and "idea". Otherwise you're just arguing semantics.

>God as a parental authority figure permeates perhaps all of Bergman's oeuvre.
And his trilogy is where the focus is explicitly on God and his silence.

Also it's quite silly how you call it the Trilogy of Silence instead of God's silence trilogy seeing as it doesn't quite gel with your argument. Nice try though.

The difference is a film about a spiritual crisis and a film about God. Spiritual crisis is not the same thing as a religious text or an explication of he role of God in one's life.

I'm not sure why you're having so much trouble with this. Are you new to arthouse cinema and serious adult conversation?

Semantics are important to discussion; I don't know why you're dismissing this when you're incapable of grasping the central theme of the films due to your illiteracy.

There's a difference between a film about a specific trait of God and a film about God himself. Do you understand?

>Yeah the third is weak
Is weaker than the first two, still a good movie overall.

>The difference is a film about a spiritual crisis and a film about God.
All three films in the trilogy explicitly revolve around the silence of God. Again you are playing semantical games in arguing that somehow this is a spiritual crisis that somehow does not involve God.

>Spiritual crisis is not the same thing as a religious text or an explication of he role of God in one's life.
Yet all three films are about the absence of God in their lives. Once again, you're trying to wedge in spiritual crisis instead of the main issue of God in those films.

Do you understand that no one calls it the Trilogy of Silence? It's always the Faith Trilogy or the Silence of God Trilogy. Cute little attempt to delete the word God from the standard label in order to fool people into your word games but it won't work here.

This, holy shit this movies were fantastic.

Back to the future = two good movies out of three

Meet the parents = 1.25 good movies out of three

Harold and Kumar trilogy.

Obviously.

Captain America bros

You're struggling to keep up and I'm getting bored. I'm going to direct you my previous post because you apparently didn't read it or didn't understand it. In the future, do not refer to the trilogy as "the God trilogy" because that label makes zero sense, especially within the context to a filmmaker as concerned with the theological as Bergman.

Here's the post you missed:

The Evil Dead or The Dollars trilogy.

...

Search your feelings. You know it to be true.

this is the most correct answer

I really want to keep seeing you around. Keep up the good work

Pirates of the Caribbean

Except prince of darkness is such a letdown.

Are the prequels underrated kino?

>antonioni trilogy
>before trilogy
>mighty ducks trilogy

Most definitely

The Godfather Trilogy
Dollars Trilogy
Once Upon A Time Trilogy
Human Condition Trilogy

Obviously Mad Max trilogy.

but Episode 6 was already so much weaker than the other two

George Lucas' influence on Peter Jackson was huge. I don't think it's right to put his trilogy above Star Wars.

Also, Prequels >>>> Hobbit trilogy

how come nobody else has mentioned this yet? absolute god tier.

that's literally the most pleb thing you could say, everyone knows tokyo drift is the best movie in the entire saga

stareing through the shithole is better than hobbit trilogy

Lynch's L.A. trilogy (how has it not been mentioned?)
Antonioni's trilogy on modernity and its discontents
Six's Centipede trilogy

Matrix Trilogy.

Just saw it a few years ago, it was excellent. You just have shit taste.

proof that american action movies can't choreograph fight scenes for shit

Indiana Jones probably.

Same applies to tfa

or
