I thought everyone liked Depeche Mode

I JUST CAN'T GET IT OFF

It's de petchy mode right
Or is it pronounced da pesh

New rule: If you like any music at all, you can NOT be patrician. Period.

New rule: if you unironically just made this post then you can NOT be patrician. Period.

This, but it's the Meat Puppets

>not liking DM

average

I don't know. I pronounce it both ways sometimes.

If you listen to Depeche Mode, you might be gay.

its da pesh, french for hurry or hurried or something. any french anons wanna help

kek

Hey, fun fact: Depeche Mode is French for Fast Fashion

Then I'm gay as fuck.

well scaruffi doesn't

will u be my bf

Scaruffi is a stupid fucking spaghetti nigger and the fact that he gets taken seriously (with the exception of his Beatles review) just goes to show how hard rock critics are willing to go in order to get rock accepted as a true art form

What do you guys expect of the new album? I wasn't too keen on the single so far

Only desperate, style obsessed, wankers wish to be considered patrician.

If you ever find yourself listening to Depeche Mode, just follow these steps:

1) turn it off
2) put on New Order or Pet Shop Boys
3) remind yourself to be more careful in the future

>turn off Depeche Mode
>put on Pet Shop Boys
>fucking blow brains out

sure

at least that way you won't die listening to trash

I don't know how you can say Depeche Mode is trash.

Pet Shop Boys is music literally made for white trash homosexuals

trash in this case being pet shop boys? you sorta just agreed with him

Construction Time Again is underrated

Depeche Mode is a shirtless guy with a ponytail at the gayest gay bar in town with his arms crossed like "don't touch me, faggot."

Yeah, cuz he isn't actually gay. He just looks cool

I don't know what the fuck you're on about, I mean yeah New Order and Pet Shop Boys are fantastic bands, but if you listen to Depeche Mode and don't like it, you're human garbage.

Where do you come up with these gay ideas, user. you have a pretty gay mind

everyone shut up

all of bands itt are trash compared to the real geniuses over here

I can tell you know nothing about The Human League. If you knew anything, you'd know that those women ruined the group.

Everything pre "eye candy women" is amazing though

1) synthpop is gay as hell
2) depeche mode is in all respects a very typical synthpop band
3) except they make a big show of being masculine and not as gay as the other synthpop bands

the synthpop equivalent of a buttrock band in black tanktops

synthpop without the transgrassiveness

safe synthpop

synthpop for guys who don't want to be called gay

I honestly haven't bothered looking-up the band until now

I just know that I like DARE more than anything put out by DM and PSB

>gay as a pejorative

I mean, Depeche Mode fans...

>depeche mode is masculine

said nobody ever

you're just mad because you're angry

I don't agree, but I like your quads

Reproduction and Travelogue are essential albums

Get Reproduction and Travelogue, it's more minimal synth than synthpop but it's essential and awesome.

Bought these awhile ago. What do you guys think?

da-petch moad

WTF are those

De-Patch Mode

Only heard a handful of their albums. Out of what I have heard I'd rank them as:

1. Black Celebration
2. Music For The Masses
3. Songs Of Faith And Devotion
4. Violator

Any other albums of theirs I should keep an eye out for? I've heard Pipeline from Construction Time Again and quite liked it, but not the rest of the album.

They peaked here.

I did like Ultra quite a bit.

It was kind of shitty that they kept turning down Bond theme opportunities.

Tears for Fears is the thinking man's DM

It's a lot like life.

>bleep bloop
>[homosexual yelping]

gee I sure love Depeche Mode

Some Great Reward

Talk Talk is better

I've never listened to Depeche Mode. What do I do

Hey man, what happened to your ?dog?

(not true by the way)

he likes several of their albums, just doesn't think are are truly essential listens. it's erroneous to interpret a 6 from him as a bad score.

i've only heard violator but think it's a wonderful album. where should i go next?

Pic related is the most patrician Depeche Mode album

Like, seriously, what an amazing fucking album.

1. Violator
2. Black Celebration
3. Music for the Masses
4. Songs of Faith and Devotion
5. Some Great Reward
6. Ultra
7. Construction Time Again
8. Speak and Spell
9. Playing the Angel
10. A Broken Frame
11. Exciter
12. Songs of the Universe
13. Delta Machine

Switch 1 and 8 and it's a good list

Violator is so overrated.

>playing the angel this low
and songs of the universe wasn't *that* bad

My thought exactly. I cannot hear Personal Jesus without getting furious

Liking the return to the industrial sound like on Ultra. I have a feeling I'll like it more than Delta machine at the least.

Guys, let's not fight over gen-X mom bands, it's embarrassing

Black Celebration is one of my favorite albums of all time, but I don't see the greatness in Violator.

Take it back. Halo, Waiting for the Night, Policy of Truth, and Clean are perfection

The Cure, New Order, and The Smiths are gen-x mom bands too and I won't deny they're great.
