Danny Brown's XXX or Old, or Powers That B. I prefer a bunch of things to Kendrick, honestly.

youtube.com/watch?v=9adbn2eLJ8I

huge disappointment

Wolf is not a contender. There's way too much filler, and whole "concept" is pretty weak. It's still Tyler's best album but it can't touch TPAB

>yfw tyler clearly influenced kendrick on tpab

You must be joking

idk if he did but tyler was dabbling in jazz hop since the beginning and talking about black stereotypes/norms poisoning the youth, but he also wasnt the first hip hop artist to do that either. he also fucked with flylo first

...

People are going to deny it but it was the first thing I thought of when I listened to it

Edgy contrarians will of course post le cringe XD reaction images because it's cool to not like Tyler due to his own cringeworthy fanbase and lyrical missteps, but truthfully,

who else was doing jazz influenced shit with live instrumentation besides Tyler in 2013?

He's literally the only one who didn't hop on the trap bandwagon. I don't think it's serious, serious influence, but it definitely is in the same vein as TPAB, musically (somewhat). The only difference is Kendrick's release was more mature and had a much larger media blitz because he's a Dr Dre boy (and by that he's a Jimmy Iovine boy) so he gets the rap savior marketing treatment

Prolly this

I buy that there was a SLIGHT influence, but Treehouse 95 is like the only jazzy track on Wolf, Tyler start seriously using jazz influenced production until Cherry Bomb.
Most of TPAB was just expanding on issues brought up in GKMC

You liked it more than the other two?

fuck TPAB. though this is technically a mixtape...

Yep, every song is really good. I usually only liked about half of the songs from the other albums
