I have a gambling addiction...

I have a gambling addiction. I thankfully haven't put myself in a bad position yet financially but I've already lost almost $10,000. It's pretty much all blackjack, I just cant resist the urge to sit at the tables and play. The problem is I also cant avoid casinos because my primary source of income is from Poker. I do well throughout the week and then ruin my hard work playing blackjack. Any advice?

Treat it like a business and your job....You're there to make money not to have fun.

Get a real job?

git gud at blackjack.
Winning at blackjack is all about perfect strategy+betting management.

Dude what are you, a fag? Gambling has ups and downs, you need to invest 10k more to regain your losses.

Just stop. There's not advice to be given. Just quit it.

>I make money playing poker
>I don't make money playing black jack
>I'm a massive faggot looking for attention
>There is no truth in anything I originally posted

How the fuck do you LOSE money in blackjack?

I make over $90,000/yr with no degree. You can keep your student loan debts.

Get a full time job. Also find a good partner (if you do not have one yet), spend more time with family/friends, join a club, practise your hobbies or learn new ones. This way you won't have time to gamble.

You also might want to tell other people, and eventually see a therapist so you can get help and support. Good luck.

You're right. I'm just being a faggot. It's my livelihood, not a trip to have fun.

So then why are you worried about spending $10k on entertainment? Lots of people spend more than that to have fun. Who gives a shit? You should get worried if you start racking up a bunch of debt to fund the fun blackjack times.

How the fuck do you lose at blackjack? It's like an atm machine to plunder and get drunk before hitting roulette and 5 card holdem.

It hasn't gotten to the point that it's hurting me financially, I was just worried that it might. This is a problem I have to deal with internally and I never should've started this thread. Thanks for your time anyway.

And tigers love pepper. They hate cinnamon

Make a play budget, with a set amount you are allowed to use for blackjack. When you hit your limit, stop and do something else.

Meh. Just have fun doing whatever makes you happy. You might get hit by a bus tomorrow, and it's only money. You can always make more.

Dropping that kind of money just to have fun is for losers man...You should be preying on those type of people and taking advantage of that weakness..They go home with nothing and you go home with there money..That is winning...Just gotta change the mindset...You're a shark...You're there to clean house and make money...Rinse and repeat every time you walk in those doors. This ain't a game to have fun and enjoy yourself...It's all business.

This is good advice for everyone. Even if you're really good at a game if you're down, accept it and go home. Think about why you lost and what you can do differently next time.
I've watched a lot of people drop thousands in one burst of bad luck recklessly chasing their lost money and making things much worse for themselves in the process.

It's actually bad advice....It's a set up for disaster and very few people have that self control day in and day out.....Do you know what is much better advice? Keep your business and fun places separated...When your at the Casino it's business...That shouldn't be your fun place also...Find another place to have fun that doesn't involve gambling.
