I was unemployment benifits (about £70 a week) until I have my big breakdown. My doctor, social worker and therapist all decided I was took sick to look for work so now I get £120 a week. I've no idea how it works in the states, sorry.

It wont be forever. The government assesses my case every so often and they do their best to get people off the books. I'll probably start looking for something in the new year because as much as I enjoy sitting around and having freedom I know I cant live like this forever.

I understand. It's best, for mental well being, to pursue a career, or at least occupy yourself with work. The chance to make more money than ever would be provided by the government is motivation enough. I wish that this kind of financial aid was available in USA, though.
