Trancefag here, I'm aware that nearly everything is wrong with this track, but I completely fail to do any better.
I can critique but I don't think its wise.
Post 'em if ya got 'em

I dont like to post my shit, im still learning...
Genre?
How long have you been doing it?
I dont mind about genre, whatever i come out with. Mostly hip hop, chilli stuff, sometimes dark stuff.
Been doing it for idk. Like 2 years
youtube.com
Also been DJing for 16+ years. Mostly house/techno/techhouse
I was DJing for a long time before producing, still got some beautiful Stanton STR8-100's from near new, never let me down.
I liked the chill on that track, I assume you played everything yourself? If so fair play indeed, I play no instruments or have any training so I don't really know what I'm doing.
same here, i DJ'd a lot before getting into "making beats".
I play no instruments either... That was my friend jamming on the guitar, and me playing a couple of notes on the ukulele. High af, of course.
We then just threw in some drums and a percussion loop.
In reality i just cut that from an hour long jam session
Im also working on other shit, but taking my time to "produce" it well.
Wont post anything until im done with full songs tho
What daws are u using? any hardware? for how long have u been doing it?
I use FL Studio, people say its the weakest daw you can use and they are half right. It is not particularly powerful and the native plugins fucking blow, even the simple things like EQ's could be so much better. After my first year of learning I went straight to 3rd party VSTi's etc.
No hardware, very rarely does my music even step outside of the shitty headphones I use. Poorfag of course.
And the saddest part? I've been doing this for 8 years solid.
I honestly can say if you keep doing what you do and get guided by your guitar friend you will far surpass me at 8 years.
lol ty fam. I wish.
If i dont get any better thats ok bcause i only do it for the love of music. Listening/mixing/making music is such fun times.
I also used FL for a bit. It seemed/felt to me like a "toy" DAW. I dont know, like it didnt felt "serious" business for some reason, although ive seen/heard people on utube make decent suff with it.
>been doing this for 8 years solid.
its not like it sounds that bad iehter m8.
Also wat matter the most is ur having fun with it dont u think?
or at least thats what i been told here.
I find its like a fuckin therapy
Lol its like drinking, I used to do it for fun, but now..
FL studio has always looked gimmicky but I think the users are so used to it the developers dare not change it. Some speculation though because I still use 9, I understand they are on Fl studio 12 now or some shit? Probably improved the native stuff massively.
r8 me /b

I can't say I know anything about the genre but surely people are into that? The quality, composition and definition seem sound af. Do people think that's not good?

>spaghetti western
free bump for good thread
Thank you, yes.

Roast my shit
...
Feeling it big time, you have my respect for what its worth. Do you do this professionally? You want studio time at the very least!
Trying to get through these quick as possible.
What was that supposed to be?
Started making shitty trance and house, now I just post clips and never finish songs
dunno, i just stuck to Ableton and Reason after that..
Do u like other EDM genres besides trance?
I feel like I could remix that pretty well
Pm me on soundcloud if you're interested

SAME HERE
i found out recently its called "writers" block or something.
Apparentl lots of writers/music makers expericne that
MORTY
I have always had a love for some old house and acid house around the 90's, but I do it a disservice trying to produce it.
Oh and the best beats in the world were crafted in late 80's/early 90's hip hop In my opinion, again can't make it in a decent way, I'm white af, literally nonexistent rhythm.

would really appreaciate any feedback or recommendation
nobody never r8 me(
I'm in no position to judge because I haven't heard this genre before. For what its worth if you tidy up, and concentrate on, that end section you may be on to something.
TopCutsAudio, make techno, dance other styles of Edm, plz like b0ss
My bad son, missed it cos I was skimming for soundcloud links, be right with you.
Not bad OP. At 2:30 sounds like it could be some video game music. Something like Geometry Wars.
Nice growls. What program did you use to make them?
Can't play it, problems my end, can you do soundcloud?
Thanks m8. I used serum and then used a few fx in FL 12.
Sorry, unsure how to critique the genre, but personally I like much less compression in my stuff. I understand compression is quite important in dubstep though? (Might not even be dubstep, I just don't even know anymore)
SoundCloud.com/noreasonpa
No clue I just make music as a hobby I was just wanting peoples opinion on it is all
OP here
Fuck it, some dubstep tune I attempted to make once. Hate doing genres I'm not involved in so it might be garbage, I don't really know
Drunk but hitting soundclouds as fast as possible.

Goa trance producer here. Yep, we still exist.
Also FL Studio user since version 4 back in the days. There are still people who think FL Studio is a stupid toy for beginners, but unless you want to record multiple mics simultaneously (e.g. drums) it's perfectly fine. I'm using a few hardware synths too.
Didn't even link, what a fuckin tit.
also love the early house sound... i think that made me fall in love with edm.
Made this @around 2010 when the golden era of house had already ended
youtube.com
Ull probly not listen to it, but would be cool, or if theres any other househead around :)
www.soundcloud.com/thathandsomemike
I make Grime
It is dubstep. Compression is usually used quite a bit so you can get a louder sound to fill the dynamic range more. Iys usually just so the listener gets more of a response when listening. You can have an amazing lead and buildup, but if the drop is "empty" it will be a disappointing song
It's neat. Kinda electronic but also kinda rock
I never have time to do this anymore
true
i kinda meant the 2nd golden era, or perhaps death of house music? idk what was it per se, but i guess we can agree something happened to house/techno after 2005ish?
For bad.
It started to get very very commercial/faggoty imo
I liked it. Sorry I don't have any feedback for you. However, I'd like to get it from you. Do you mind telling me what music software you use?
As it turns out, that is my fuckin jam as far as rock goes. I've enjoyed to some extent anything from black sabbath to pink floyd so I guess I know a little. Recording quality a little low but I understand.

It sounds terrible
You've been an FLStudio user for all those years and you're still making crappy trance? Grow up plz
great work!
Sounds like midi or adlib or something straight out of the 90s. Not impressive
Gay
ok another part of album cuz i ignored in this thread :( soundcloud.com
It IS midi... sooo...
I used Garage Band (i know i know) and M-Track to record the guitars, thank you! i'm kinda noob so every advice is always nice
agree v v gay, took me 20 secs till i cringed 2 hard
So it's gay
wtf is this, sounds alright but very niché
You seem to know how to make better stuff. By all means, show me the way.
Also, here's your (You), faggot
Fuck I could only skim but that is my shit right there, I'll be back on that soon enough.
Here's the steps for you to vecome better
1. Open programs and features
2. Find your daw
3. Uninstall

Man this sounds so dumb
Nice!!
After a long time I re-listened to it and found its not that bad.
Lots of good tracks in the late 90's/early 2000s!
Made me want to make a new one with recent stuff, but with the same style
lol, yeah, not pretentious about it
soundcloud.com
Here is my first attempt at Glitch Hop
cant tell if youre trying to be artistic or ironic
Dude. I like this. Lyricsm and flow are on point, I think it would sound awesome if you were more relaxed in your delivery. Like let the words themselves do the hitting, keep your tone laid back cause it'll suit your voice more. Seriously though good stuff, I'd love to make some dnb with you rapping on it.
Gives me a calyx vibe, much respect. Sincerely.
Very different than most of the stuff posted in this thread but here's my shit. Plz r8
You've just made my night, thanks!
Very hardcore. You must be so hardcore.
Boring, takes too long to start and is pretty much the same all the way through
ty user!
Still lots to learn (:
That's fair, aye I could do with losing the "DJ intro" and writing more than 1 verse
No offence but whoever produced your beats is letting you down, if its you get someone else to do it. No offence intended but no joke either, you got that 90's flow and that is pure gold to me, if you can get some high quality beats behind that I would listen to you all fuckin day, without trying to sound like an authority on the subject, you got this.
runkids.bandcamp.com
Harsh noise faggot here
Every album is different but every album is shit
Especially the last one
bump
Fuck, OP here, I'm drunk and high as fuck right now, I'm sperg so I'm determined to get through all these tracks.
Bump.
Bumping with ass.

FYI two of the highest grossing DJs/producers EVER use FL, Garrix and Avicii (not a fan personally) there is nothing it can't do that compared to any other DAW. Only fucking wannabe noobs would think otherwise, I get you though when you say it feels like a "toy"
