Found these lately. Thought I should share.

My jaw often gets sore on the left side, and flexing that side creates a clicking sound if I haven't done that too many times recently.
It's been a problem for a while, but of late it's gotten worse.

Anyone have any clue what it might be?

Have you tried of seeing a doctor? Also if your muschles are locked on neck area, this could be the reason and is easily solved with massage. If not muschle based, then it sounds rather bad.
See a doctor.

It's a genetic condition I think, affecting a random selection of joints.
Only my jaw gets sore, but a number of other joints sometimes click.

That sounds kinda annoying. I too have similar problems but that is due to being careless in gym.
