They just like adding "punk" into the title as a nod to cyberpunk.
Splatterpunk would be a neat genre, subtle nod to Robocop 3. Ideally in a genre like that you'd have real grindhouse-y blood n' guts with just a hint of sci-fi and noir undertones. Since it has the word "punk" it'd have to be a "fuck the system" type of thing but that could work well I think.
