Holy fuck, this is actually really good

holy fuck, this is actually really good
it's like Campfire Songs meets Sleep Cycle
do you think they'll drop the clean psych-pop sound and go back to grittier sounding psych-folk?
or do you think this is a one time thing?

i am really hoping these are like b-sides from shit avey and geo have been working on for the next album. maybe the next album will be geo avey and deak only, no panda.

would be dope. no offense Pandy Bear. But yes, this record gets better every listen. Selection of a Place is amazingly good.

Their next album will be like this. It will have a running time of 72 minutes and have 8 tracks

i'd be okay with this.

>local show has been booked for 6 months +
>The Painters drops
>$30 tickets have been floating around the whole time
>MotW drops
>Show sells out the next day

Coincidence? Or manifest destiny?

Like a window
That blew open
Let the sun rise
And fresh air in
Fall wind blower
Sank the structure
Cold and wretched
Entertained
You were steel like
Wild magnolias
Your white flower
Speak your name
Cosplay Teacher
Handsome Jester
Your grave meadow
Keeling ways(?)
Drift like cotton
On a soft wind
Now I must
Close the window
We'll always love you
Pure Jolly(Dear Charlie?)
They'll never taste our
Blue Noses
We'll always love you
Pure Jolly(Dear Charlie?)
They'll never taste our
Blue Noses
[insert scratchy pained EEEEEEEE's here]
We'll always love you
Pure Jolly(Dear Charlie?)
They'll never taste Blue
Noses
Bye bye Betty.
Bye bye Betty.

Their next album will be better than MPP. Calling it. They're gearing up for something big B) People have been craving a return to form for the last 7-8 years.

I'm still debating if I should shell out 60$ and make the two hour trip to Northampton next month. Should I?

>psych-folk
It's called freak folk u twat

That's up to you man, I spent 30 bucks to drive an hour and a half to see them by myself. Ran into some friends from high school there though so it was cool. Even still, they played Loch Raven which was great and well worth going for.

Don't do it user, I haven't bought my tickets for Northampton yet. Once I do that you're all good

If yes, please get there early. Like two hours early maybe. Assuming it's a pit show and not pay-by-section. Bring a book or something.

I hit them up in November or so, was the first in line, spent the night stage center in front of Avey. Unforgettable. I don't even like PW all that much, and I was more than entertained.

Painting With is surprisingly awesome and fun to hear live.

Peaceful songs, we'll get along
If we move together in the armory
On my knees, my head on your queasy stomach
Cannot keep my chin up
I woke to sweats in the night, strange sensation
To feel alive
I find it so hard to tell you, I'm afraid to forget
The smell of you

Wizard with a Wand competing with the lightning,
Coward and also a king - and a man of oil.

Floating logs on a dock scream "Move me"
Like apologies in texting
Broken limbs fill the smooth snake skin
on a Ferris wheel formed in cash, love.
You got to have the tough guts,
so you're home like a human and watch
[???] pour?
I find it so hard to hear you
Say that you think I never hear you

Wizard with a Wand competing with the lightning,
Coward and also a king - and a man of oil.

I woke to sweats in the night, strange sensation
To feel alive
I find it so hard to tell you, I'm afraid to forget
The smell of you

Wizard with a Wand competing with the lightning,
Coward and also a king - and a man of oil.

That particular show is seated so there's no need to get there early

Isn't it? They just have so much fun with it. Golden Gal was like 10 minutes long with a noisy break in the middle. And the way they're playing Kids on Holiday now is like a different song altogether. Seems like they shake up the throwbacks every night too.

It wasn't even a question of whether I'd go again, same tour and all.

The ONLY song I hated hearing them revamp was Guys Eyes. It sounded pretty bad in comparison to the original...

And you see? Proof right there, I didn't get Guy's Eyes at all. We also had Jimmy Mack like 2 months before Painters, so I'm really curious what the show will look like now. I'm sure MotW is right out because they aren't crowd pleasers, but who knows?

I am hoping they turn the whole PW tour on its head and start throwing out more Sung Tongs renditions than just Kids on Holiday. I just want more like MotW now. Painting With alone will not satisfy my urges at this point.

desu, toss PW and just play a fusion of ST and SJ.
I'd be happy. But I'm sure it must be exhausting to play albums for 10 years+.

If I recall correctly they can't really play much from Strawberry Jam because they lost a lot of the samples. Or maybe that was Spirit. I don't know.

Guys, if I had my last.fm working, I've probably listened to Meeting of the Waters 50+ times since Saturday.

okay you're all set user I've made my purchase

geo looks weird without a beard

that's actually not geo, that's just a random third dude who was a friend

no, his lack of beard just makes him look phillipino

>motw first listen last night
>comfy on bed with nice headphones
>close eyes, feels like im in the rainforest not even on drugs or anything
>oh this is great...
>next thing i know i fell alseep during track 1, its 1 AM, missed my entire evening cause i went into over-comfy

the first time i listened i fell asleep during it as well, but i feel like i was half sleeping and half listening...put me in this really funky ass dream state, felt wonky and warbly kind of. I'll be honest, this record didn't seem all that great to me at first, but the more I listen to it, the more I grow an appreciation and understanding for it. The rain forest rave section of ambience at the end of Blue Noses is fucking awesome. Sounds like a party for the jungle beasts.

Rekindling them
The passion flower
That could never grow again.
Those days would power
Trips 'em outward
Trips 'em up, young ways.
A dead end.
You'll find a place, impressions of
Wet lips on a window, frosty lens.
Relax in space,
Birds singing, why? No rays
There is comfort for you.

If all the people that you ever bumped
Into along the way have left a mark inside a case
For tomorrow, today it might sting.
And if somebody special ever ran away
With what they gave you wasn't it a gift
To touch, for a second,
I'm right beside you.
Not thinking about, all the doodadoodadoodadooda
Suddenly I wake up now.
Not thinking about, all the work that must be done.
Suddenly I wake up now.
Not thinking about, little letters on my phone.
Suddenly I wake up now.

Easy like a child roaming
I'll keep it all the same place,
There's a day dream happenin'.
Seems to take a while
To make my perfection and maybe take it
And it's gone in seconds.
Laying on clay tiles
Rest with
Little old friends,
Subtle summer cabin.
Thinking of the places we want,
Are we in th/e same house? Or is the house between?
Place to stay.
A place to stay.
A place to go and pray today,
A place to pass away.
A place to stay.
Place to stay.
A place to go and pray today,
A place to pass away.
Place to stay.
A place to stay.

I fucking love being in that state because I can't afford drugs

Can I get a link? Please guys? Would appreciate it

I can and I still prefer moments like that because that's like an intense endorphin and dopamine rush purely from being stimulated by something that genuinely interests me. which is utterly rare.

supposedly there is some video footage on the show Earthworks on Viceland that is going to be accompanied by Meeting of the Waters. Curious to see what it will be like.

Normally I'd rip on you for being saying something that 'le euphoric' but I agree 100%

trust me I'd rip on myself usually, but it's the God's honest truth. Meeting of the Waters put me in a weird mental state. Granted I was listening to it after having only like 2 hours of sleep and having been up for 42 hours or some shit. So it wasn't just the music, but yeah. You get the idea.

yfw they purposely got worse and worse while still releasing interesting albums on purpose so they could make a come back to their amazingness and blow everyone's mind

>man of oil
