this is indeed new to me but I've been here for years, m8

Hey gents.

...

well i deleted my own earlier posts

Fuck. Why did I think of that?

I don't have a milking fetish
But I want to see her attached to a milking machine

She's got a really cute face.

/xivg/ pls go. Your erping killed any discussion of the game

I see furry porn, I contribute.

I believe you have me mistaken for someone else...

This is why I went into STEM
Sadly my dreams have already been crushed

How so?
Crushed by the insane difficulty and poor teaching which comes with learning and getting qualified, crushed by the lack of funding for anything that isn't boring business stuff, or crushed by how difficult it is to do science solo when everything requires impossibly expensive equipment?

I'm guessing you never actually played Final Fantasy XIV and just saved that picture for the hell of it then. The general on /vg/ is all about their shitty characters and erping rather than the game giving it a bad reputation.

What field?

That is correct.

well that last one does indeed hurt but moreso because now I know I can't make an extra boobied fox girl with anything close to the technology we have today. I actually really liked my major professor, he was a right wing hunting and fishing kinda guy.

Environmental Sciences, but I did a ton of Wildlife Bio, Range, and Genetics

Heya Sunny.

Why can't we have good games anymore?

Its become about mass production instead of quality.

...

I'm going into Biochemistry next year when I transfer after I have all my basics out of the way.

I'll dedicate all my research into making sexy fox-girl hybrids

Don't worry, I think the last problem I mentioned will solve itself.
Overspecialisation of professions and equipment will eventually bring innovation to almost a complete standstill since innovation can only happen if the resources necessary are easily available and there are people with a wide range of comprehension.

Then, once innovation and invention have almost frozen, the problems should be much more clear and people will focus on them more, and anyone who has solved the problems will be enormously successful thus changing the nature of education and the economy.
I'd say we're most of the way through the slowdown in innovation; nothing life changing has been invented this decade, even last decade had things like mobile phones and the internet becoming mainstream.

Hey man. I don't really know. Spring break kind of broke me.

Just had a lot happen lately. Not sure if I'll get that loan for the MR2 or not and BLFC is a no go for me. A little disappointed by those. What's up with you?

Hi Sunshine

Ouch dude, sorry to hear that. That sucks.

Same ol' on my end.

Whoa, wut. Is that one of the guys from your starter?

No... just a lucky thumbnail swap

...

I think I'll be ok. What i've done of organic chemistry so far is fucking awesome and I can't wait to learn more. I might be one of the few that doesn't dread taking that class considering the interest I have in the subject.

You vastly underestimate the ammount medical innovations we've made over the past decade. Sure we might not have had another penicillin or polio vaccine but new discoveries are made every day.

dang

...

...

...

...

...

...

New discoveries are being made, but by extremely specialised scientists who cannot individually apply those discoveries towards new inventions, since only the companies the scientists work for have control over a broad enough range of the science to do anything.

Pretty sure OP is a fox.

Hey Win.

Hi.

...

...

I actualy think that technology itsself will solve the problem with equipment, while perhaps not being able to have your own large large hadron collider, smaller accurate instrumentation coupled with greater computing strengths will overcome a lack of funding if you have ideas worth investigating and a reasonable idea of where to look.

we still might have another amazing vaccine, the biggest challange has been the lack of funding to look new places for them(or well back to the dirt again) the cancer drugs we have are incredible and getting better ever year as just an example.

I big problem with Genetics will be and IS currently dealing with the morality of it. If we can put Woolly mammoth DNA in an elephant embryo and culture it, why the fuck not. Anything that allows us to come closer to a full understand of genetic sequences must be pursued. It is imperative to the Human race to do so.

can we get more of this

...

Can you be more specific?

You can destink them and them they're kinda like garbage loving extra fluffy cats

...

cum inflation, or prego or stuff like that

It would seem as though April Showers has come our way.

I'll see what I have. It's one of those things that it's pretty hard to find quality stuff of.

very true, but thank you for fulfilling my fantasy

That's something I hadn't considered.
As soon as powerful and comprehensive simulators exist, people can "invent" things without spending millions on finding a viable implementation of the idea; then investors can confidently turn the idea into reality.

Currently though, there's the slight problem that physically accurate simulators are made by scientists, scientists who only want to make their niche job easier and can't make good software.
So the result is that almost physical simulators are not easy to use, and have an absolutely tiny scope.

Like, you can't get something that does both mechanical and thermodynamic simulation, to my knowledge. And anything that does thermodynamic simulation costs a fortune and would take a week to learn how to use.
