now the narrative doesn't work as well
Kendricks best work was with Black Hippy
I don't get the hate for You Ain't Gotta Lie, but I'm assuming it's Melon.
If you're gonna delete a track, make it Hood Politics
am i going to say it? TPAB is whack
good troll guys
>You Ain't Gotta Lie
message has damn near nothing to do with the overall theme of the album and while sounding sonically similar offers little to nothing to the narrative or multiple stories kendrick ties together with the poem
still a garbage album
how tf could u even say delete hood politics
The overall theme of the album is to me the aftermath of growing up in Compton (GKMC) and making it in the industry while connecting with your roots. You Ain't Gotta Lie is about Kendrick wanting people to treat him as if he were just another guy from the hood, not sucking up to him. Another message is not being fake and not wanting to be somebody you're not, which is the theme of "i" too. So stop dissing You Ain't Gotta Lie because of Melon

I didn't like them at first too, but then after listening to them more it made more sense with the narrative of the album and I started to like them a lot more, especially Hood Politics.

Momma is a top 5 song, and it explains a good majority of the concept.
