I've played it. The "escape from the hotel" section is one of the best moments in videogame history imo. It's still a broken port from a good xbox game. Wasn't able to beat the game because saves got corrupted after falling through the floor on the island.

Rimworld. I play a lot of Cortex Command, an indie game that was released before it was finished, but before steam had the early access program. It got poor reviews, and very little attention. The dudes who made it spent like 11 years writing the physics engine. I really appreciate the depth of detail in its combat and drone control mechanics. I also love Dwarf Fortress, another long-time developing game, but this one I'm sure you've at least heard of. It's a massively deep simulation of building up civilization as dwarves, with realistically generated world terrains, internal history, and just about every detail of simulation you can imagine.
I want to play RimWorld because it appears to combine aspect of two games I love and have always admired. If I'm able to finish my degree in CS and actually land a decent job which doesn't make me want to die, I think I'd like to develop games like this as a hobby.
