Just recently built this. I build a new rig every 6 months or so because I get bored.

pic didn't upload.

OP here, any recommendations for GPU upgrade? I was thinking GTX 1070?

Further spec:
800w PSU

Ive got a shitty laptop...

Anyone out there that can help me with an overwatch build under $700?

Oh, and also that should be 1080 ti, not edition.

Might actually buy that case

>gonna link my main computer under

It's nice, but I was really annoyed that I couldn't top mount the rad, it has to be front mounted.

If that bothers you, might want to go for the 570x

Main Computer

All that rad space and no GPU block?

GPU warranty, it's only 6 months old and doesn't make alot of noise + it's around 65-71c at gaming

This I guess.
Phantek enthoo pro case.

yeah, but water cooling isn't really about practicality.

Built this from the ground up for editing large video jobs.

why is your mobo sensor showing 90 degrees? O.O

too lazy to do it atm since i am currently building my server.

just swapped the res, that pic is 6 months old so the res is 50% the size.

when i plan to add a block i'm also gonna add another 1080.

What would make this build 100 times better is if you sorted all that piping, its fucking horrid user. Get some L shaped pipes etc and cut them down so its a perfect fit.

Because my sensors are fucked and that's actually the cpu.
And it's like that cause I forgot to plug the case fan in and I've been too lazy to do so.

Here's another pic

read when changing the res i added nicer tubing etc etc. share your build before you complain.

Love that case, what I got.
But I want to rip that flip cover thingy over the front inputs off.
Also, the power button isn't in the best of places for me

I did share my build, I'm op. Im not complaining just suggesting tbh.

Waiting for Ryzen 2 and vega before I upgrade.

You and me both. I broke it off.

well i got some question for you.
>2011 socket
>4x RAM dimm's in 1 side.
>wut.png?

I would upgrade that ridiculously slow ram, seriously do you even understand how computers work?

Hah.
I'm surprised I haven't.
The way I'm set up I'm always knocking it with my foot.

Would faster RAM have any impact on gaming?

Should I get a better than stock CPU cooler and bump up the base clock?

Using the stock cooler is disabled, i don't know anyone that has ever done that, they are literally shit. Are you retarded?

>Would faster RAM have any impact on gaming?
by 1-2 fps at maximum

>Should I get a better than stock CPU cooler and bump up the base clock?
6600, you got the non K so you can't overclock user.

The ram's fine for now but my GPUs failing and believe it or not, I need to bake it every 4 weeks or else it crashes under load, legit.

Do you play minecraft only or is there some reason i'm not getting to run a top of the line cpu with that shitty gpu?

Nigga. I have kinda the same stuff but can't edit shit in premiere or after effects. It's just waay to stuttery and slow.
I have a 6800K oc 4.2 , 128gb ram and a pcie ssd what am i doing wrong?

>6600, you got the non K so you can't overclock user.
I haven't updated the BIOS, so the motherboard should still allow for base clock overclocking

You fucked up the overclock and the stuttering is your cpu dying. If you lied and don't have the same expensive ram than thats it.

I have an i3 and a titan x how do I show what else I have?

>1060
>shitty
Wew lad

I5-6600k 4.2hz
16gb corsair 2800mhz
Msi motherboard
Kfa2 gtx960
2 ssd of 500gb
Be quiet 450w

>Asus Z170 A

Whats wrong with that motherboard?

>1060
>Ark in Ultra
>Minecraft

Well, you're not wrong mate.

I can't be certain, but I edit and render really fast. It may be that I have a 6 core processor. The 6800k is more specific for gaming if I'm not mistaken. But then I always down-res my videos from 4k to 1080p...then render in 4k. I doubt it makes a difference, but I also don't overclock my processor. You can, but the life expectancy of the chip degrades. 128GB of RAM is great, but the speed needs to match the motherboard. If the specs say the MB only takes 2100 (speed) and you have 3200 in there then you will have system problems. It should be adjustable though.

non-k processor

mobo?
Intel HD Graphics 3000
640GB HDD

my b rig that has a 970 runs ark in ultra, the question was why the fuck is he bottlenecking the cpu that hard not can he run a 2 1/2 year old game on max settings

I built this rig using pcpartpicker.com/b/7ZfH99
and researching the shit out of everything.

Zotac GtX 970 (4gb)
i7-6700 (4ghz)
Avexir 32 gb ddr4 @ 2133 mhz
Cougar 600 watt PSU
AsRock z170 pro 4s
Zalman 92mm CPU fan

What would you upgrade first?

Def add RAM

idk what the fuck kind of CPU cooler that is but GPU. CPU should last a few years.

nothing really. Maybe CPU fan , psu only

Depends on your usage of the computer, but i think 32gb of ram might either be too much or just right.

Either way, after that, the 970 is worth considering. CPU is good for a few years til tiger/cannon lake

Step up to my level pleb.

Bates 4000
80 Gs of RAM
Dual-burning CTC combo drive with +4 digital upgrade card.

This thing will knock the shit out of your ass.

OP here, literally just swapped that around,

I dunno why you think there would be bottlenecking, but im having no problems.

thank me later

Just got a new GPU

Upgrading is pleb tier, sell the rig now and get a 1070 rig for the cost of that upgrade.

Just because it's not sucking ass at what you're throwing at it doesn't mean you're not getting diminishing returns on the components you paid for.

OP here - swapped to quad channel memory instead of dual - derp. Is there any significant difference?

Also, I sprayed my CPU bracket red to match the mobo.

chech your ram timings in speccy, for starters.
