Making babies

There is no meaning.
We're born, we reproduce, we die.
That's it.

Bump

The meaning of life is observation. Life is just matter observing itself. Now fuck off

To post the Britbong Paedo alot.

Oh and to get dubs alot.

OP here. also my opinion but thats boring. why dont we run around burning people and eating shit. (real shit) why do we try to fit in ?

NEVAAAA i will stay like your depression

It's entirely subjective. There is no universal meaning, nor an objective one, which means we all get to create our own.

You could of course run around and kill people and do dumb shit since morality and meaning is subjective in this universe, but what's the fucking point of doing that? It won't make you or anyone else happier, and the lack of objective morality won't stop others from thinking you're a shitheel which will lessen your enjoyment of living. Nihilism is just edgy babies lashing out against an indifferent world. Become an existentialist instead, read some Camus and learn to create your own happiness.

I'd tell you but then you'd all shit on me because it's this simple, not incredibly complicated thing.

Well i don't know much about the meaning of life as such, but what i do know is that i cannot stand black people at all in my life.

>everything is subjective and relative

what a weak shit mlady answer

Nihilism in and of itself isn't edgy, but edgy people seem to gravitate to it without trying to fully understand it.

If I was going to breakdown Nihilism to it's basics it would be "Don't sweat the small stuff because we all wind up in the same place in the end". Obviously it's more complex then that but that's the gist of it.

Waiter! This conversation isn't very good!

Being a working slave for (((whoever you believe it is)))

How is it weak? Don't judge an argument by the arguer, ya dingus.

If we suppose that anything in life as well as life itself has an objective value, then we can't avoid the fact that, logically, there has to be a "giver" or "decider" of those values, like a higher power. Otherwise those values, including that of life itself, cannot by definition be objective.

Take the concept of fate for example. We tend to view fate as a concept that isn't inherently supernatural, but for fate to bear it's core definition (a pre-ordained or meaningfully correlating series of events) we must have an agent pulling the strings with intent. Similarly, if we accept that life and everything in it has objective value, then we must accept that there is a higher power of some form that decided those values. It's fine if you want to go that route, but personally I don't believe in a higher power.

tl:dr; unless you believe in a higher power, objective values cannot exist, because defining values requires intent (which only conscious agents possess).

t. philosophy student throwing away my life

I've always viewed nihilism and existentialism as two sides of the same coin, a matter of different attitudes towards the concept of a meaningless world.

Your definition sounds much more like something the existentialists like Camus or Sartre would say than, say, Nietzsche.

All spontaneous processes increase entropy. Life's whole shtick is making spontaneous reactions happen quickly, and creating densities of order in the brain and large molecules. Which will be scattered once more to the void themselves when we die

Life exists to catalyze the heat death of the universe :|

No, that's the purpose of life, not its meaning.

purpose =/= meaning

To reproduce
>all so I have just got two speeding tickets rushing to get home to drop this fucker
>hairs on neck and arms rize up
>hot flushes
>stomach cramps
15 mins from home no where to pull up to shit fly through two cameras
This shit t cost me 6 points

That's just a report on things that happen in the universe, it doesn't say anything about the intended purpose of life through.

experiencing 3D energy in action

>intended purpose of life
To serve GOD your LORD.

Why not? Does saying a spoon is a tool to eat with not describe its intended purpose? Certainly that knowledge doesn't make the elaborate engravings of fine silverware any less beautiful

Gratuitous excess and traps

Evolve, but for better good for our own selves and all human kind...unfortunately most of us is directly focused on our own selves too much

lets hang out user *~*

I know that feel fam.

I was stuck at a family meeting today with the exact same satanic shitspawn in my ass for half the day.

>sister's house is almost 100 years old
>she kept the old interior doors for 'style'
>toilet door has huge cracks on the edges
>can see and hear through
>can't go shit because it's gonna stink and make a huge noise
>suffer for 4 hours
>curse my sister and her interior decoration choices

We should go full Borg?

Yes it does, because we have given spoons that purpose as agents of intent. The universe is not an agent, unless you believe in a higher power.

Cp

Then how can life be given a purpose higher than the one I've ascribed? At best anthropocentric philosophy has to compromise a split answer with function

>to find something more important than your own life, and dedicate your life to it.
>...is not to live forever, but to leave something that will.

I'm not that guy, but the purpose of life is to replicate.

The meaning, though, is unknown. There might not be any.

there is no meaning.the earth is a fluke.theres nothing else.there never will be again after were gone

meaning is found in purpose, purpose and meaning are subjective. find your purpose, find your meaning.

It's hilarious how all you brilliant philosofags act like you know for sure with your little pet belief system. Dogma addicts with weak minds fooling yourselves for a fix.

but not everybody has a purpose..is not having a purpose, a purpose ?

>what is the meaning of life?
ultimately, to live it..

but it's up to each person to find their own meaning.

to find their own path.

to find out what inspires them.

to find out what brings joy into their life.

maybe it's helping other people.

maybe it's being a mindless tax-generating zombie for the government.

maybe it's grooming and molesting all the little girls in the neighborhood.

maybe it's kidnapping a newborn baby and raising her from then on to only be your chair-side sex slave.

maybe it's stripping down, covering yourself with mayo, and sliding across the kitchen flood while making slug noises.

whatever.

it's up to each person to find that happiness.

to find that zen.

and it may change as time goes on.

but the important thing is to never stop looking for it.

if your purpose is to not have a purpose that's your purpose fulfilled

that was deep ,you self centered clow in the dark faggot...people like you who think they know something that the rest of us dont are a pain in the ass to those of us who do know it all

I guess I'm an existentialfag in that sense then and give it whatever meaning the person makes of it.

I'm not a nihilist though. Honestly much less so than the average college youth I talk to

Ours is not to reason why;
Ours is but to live and die

Fag

so if my purpose is to not have a purpose..then life has no meaning for me?

...

pretty much this

No such thing. We're here to keep things going, just like any other form of life on earth. The human species evolved too far. We think too much.

if your purpose is ti have no purpose, and you have no purpose you have transcended meaning and are to be considered as pure existential being

that actually makes sense..

what ever keeps you from killing yourself from the sheer absurdity

regular exercise

>What is the meaning of life?

What makes you think there is any meaning?

Food tastes good
Sunsets are pretty
Blowjobs feel great

Making babies == produce more working slaves for (((whoever you believe it is)))

I think the meaning of life is to enjoy yourself, not be a burden on others, and to leave the world slightly better than you found it.

For example, I noticed that the birds really enjoy this big bush of soopalallie berries near my house, but I think it's the only bush on my property. So, I'm trying to grow a bunch more of them and plant them all over.

I think it's little things like this that make the world better. Doesn't have to be huge things.

Also don't be a complete prick and involve yourself in other peoples business.

Also reproduction.
