Why don't you like reggae?

Rock

>Reggae
+ ton

Hip Hop

>reggae
agreed.

ifk man it's not like i think it's objectively terrible or some shit, just sound completely devoid of any significance to my ears so i get bored. I like when my music is adventurus.

country

Chamber pop, help me

>tfw trying to find good reggae

You don't need help, you're not missing out on anything meaningful or worthwhile.

Electropop (the Halsey type) and modern Bubblegum Pop (like Meghan Trainor)

Dub reggae was very adventurous for its time, a load of modern production techniques are owed entirely to dub producers, even the very idea of a producer as a compositional force comes from dub.

Would you like some recommendations?

Unless Mercury Rev counts, i have never heard anything non-terrible by this genre

Not him but anything that isn't Bumbaclot to my ears would be good

>My tractor, my sister left me for my cousin, my truck, my farm, my sister

And then sing in an exaggerated southern accent with a metric shit ton of autotune.

>Dub reggae
I was using a very narrow definion of reggae, i actually like some dub. Sorry for being unclear.

Try roots reggae.

>My tractor, my sister left me for my cousin, my truck, my farm, my sister
>And then sing in an exaggerated southern accent with a metric shit ton of autotune.
That's modern pop/bro country. You realize the genre was a thing well before the likes of Toby Keith and Garth Brooks. It was part of the lineage of folk and blues and it's subgenres helped spawn what would become rock and roll. Hell, even Dylan made a country album and it was great.

Go way back to the 1920s and start with the Carter Family for some of the earliest popular country records.

this
>country rock from the 60s is also amazing too

>What is Radiohead
>What is Ween

All the albums these are from are classics. If reggae haters don't like any of these fair enough you probably just don't like the style.

t honky who can't be assed to look for music

>b-but it all sounds the same

Post-rock

There are still a bunch of country singers that make great music, they just get buried in the US bar circuit because the autotune I want to fuck my tractor stuff sells better. Sturgill Simpson got nominated for a Grammy even though nobody knew who he was because Sailor's Guide was just too good.

Radiohead is absolutely shit, and Ween is mixed bag of everything, especially genres.

Sup Forums-core

Noise

you dont know what youre talking about
listen to gene clark

dont force yourself to be contrarian

This but unironically.

y not

Anything that came from niggers.
Jazz sounds like a 20 minute car crash with a bunch of cats.
Hip hop is all jungle bunny retardation talking over shit drum samples.
Blues is just niggers complaining.

It does not sound pleasant to me

TechDeath

so everything from the last 10-15 years is garbage, but there are a few good tracks from the stone ages

>What is Not Chamber Pop

xD

> rock and roll

>only a few
whew you can go ahead and delete that post friendo

There is literally no difference between this post and saying rocks suck because you only heard 80s hair metal bullshit.

Rock and Roll didn't get good until white people started playing it, before that it was just niggers playing blues but louder.

Coon songs

>Blues is just niggers complaining.

ok i keked

I'm still not listening to your ranch fuck sounds

>80s hair metal bullshit
>implying Motley Crue aren't the best thing to ever happen to music.

look up Those Poor Bastards, Highlonesome, .357 String band, and the Devil Makes three and then try to repeat that post.

What about reggae nightcore, aka ska?

Johnny Cash is great.
Old country music is pretty GOAT 2bh.

youtube.com/watch?v=TtGY4G7II6s
youtube.com/watch?v=R7UrFYvl5TE

"adult alternative"

fuck. i worked at a grocery store for 6 months and heard this shit on a daily basis. it's a reminder of how awful suburban culture really is

Ignoring the low hanging fruit of nu metal, post-grunge, and reggaeton I hate grunge. Sure-- The Melvins were good, but I consider them more sludge than anything. I can't stand Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, etc.

Punk, I just can't get into it

Also, noise
