Reznor.
At least he's aged NIN somewhat gracefully, I'll say that much.

Can we agree that Manson was more ambitious and experimental, made his own sound, made more memorable, deeper performances and was more musically articulate?

Though I think its important to add for honesty's sake that Manson had the unattractive habit of buying into his own bullshit a bit too much.

If you're a Reznor/NIN person, whats your favorite track? Favorite album?

Im kinda curious about thoughts on Mansons stuff too.

Here's a big question for either- did fame help or hurt them?

Reminds me of how Boy George went. Is he still alive?

Trent is technically better in every way

But I'd still rather get hammered with Marilyn and talk about films and art

>more ambitious and experimental
good joke
best NIN is TDS

t. 15 year old who thinks he's smart

>technically

I'm sorry, maybe the meaning is lost in text somehow: do you mean literally when you say technically, or are you just making a general expression of common metrics?

Do you mean he was more proficient, more diverse in abilities?

I dont want to take anything from Reznor, loved him. I just dont think he have Mansons verve and unique if somewhat repetitive style.

>best NIN is TDS

Interesting. So you think it improved over PHM

no he just genuinely seems like a more entertaining person to be around and he actually has interesting tastes

better than trent dickriding david fincher all day long

yeah i just mean purely in his production and songwriting abilities

i don't think he's all that interesting or charming a dude compared to manson

Anyone have that cartoon of fatty Manson sitting on the ground eating pebnut bubber? That really made me laugh.

Manson is very close to Bowie in that he was actually a fashionista faggot instead of a good musician.

I would say that Reznor is a better musician/composer, but Manson is a better performance artist and poet

reality has a well known trent bias

Threadly reminder that Manson threw Maise off the balcony.

Is that Nick Cage on the bottom right hand corner?

No, that's Marilyn Manson, lead singer of the popular band the Nine Inch Nails

fake news

Thats seems fair and accurate.

>instead of

I think they were both good musicians. Whether they were 'greats' is a more subjective matter I suppose.

I see, thank you. They both seemed to have periods of noticeable ambition. Thats why I asked earlier if anyone thought fame helped or hurt them.

Ye. Antichrist Superstar is the best of both worlds
