Are ideas made of atoms?

Are ideas made of atoms?

yes

/sci/ exists for a reason

but no. ideas do not contain any mass and do not take up space.

no, because they are electronic signals created by the brain, therefore they are not atoms, because they are made of electrons, which are sub-atomic particles.

If something has no mass and no volume then how can it be said to exist?

Only the ones in your long term memory, as they're formed out of neural pathways.

Not op but,
>what is random

Then how can it exist?

Is a moron, Ideas are obviously made of atoms

whatever you do, don't ask bill nye

How does light exist, genius?

There's a board for this shit though.

How does heat exist?

jfc nobody here has took middle school fucking science i see

"A fundamental postulate of the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics is that complete information about a system is encoded in its wave function up to when the wave function collapses. The evolution of the wave function is determined by a unitary operator, and unitarity implies that information is conserved in the quantum sense."

Thats kinda like asking if the movement of a car is made of atoms...

Its a result of atoms interacting with eachother and electrical signals.

Ideas are made up of electrical impulses in the brain

Electrical impulses are made up of atoms

Therefore ideas are made up of atoms

This. Actually.

Then again, what are thoughts but manifestations of what the true being is?

We are our thoughts, and as we ourself are mass and made of atoms, so too are our thoughts.

they are made of niggers

the electric phenomena are transient, the idea needs to have a stable form to exist in any meaningful way

Heat is a state and a description of atomic morion

Photons take up space, smart guy.

nigga did you even read what i said? Electricity is made of electrons, thus cannot be made of atoms, because electrons are sub-atomic particles

>what are electrons

Photons are not atoms.
OPs question is simple.
The answer is no.

Information is coded as proteins in brains, so is probable that they are a set of atoms, yeah...

>Electrical impulses are made up of atoms
They're not.
They're made of the movement of electrons that are sub atomic particles.

Just think of your brain having a built in screen. When you have an idea, neurons are fired, and piece by piece, much like the image on a computer screen, a picture comes together and is formed. The process of it happening is because of matter, but the result itself isn't matter. Just like how the color pink isnt matter.

Ideas are made of photons.
The idea has to come from a visual aid or memory that you saw so you can produce the idea in your head visually/mentally.
An idea is not simply "pinged" into existence it is part of a thought process that you may or may not do yourself.
Now er are going into thought, which leads into many more questions, a little to sophisticated for Sup Forums.
I bet by the time I have written and posted this there's at least one troll trollololloloing this decent thread.

Some could argue that they are the power or quarks dividing and disappearing into the other side/face of the universe we live in. Therefore brining the opposite universe into ours.
Binary, neither yes or no until you decide and the quarks align.
(Not like gender confused faggots who can't make up their mind).

Google it.

There's also the options that ideas aren't limited to just mammalian brains, there's the possibility for energy beings, even galaxies or stars to have "toughts".

I remember to have read someone who theorized that the laws of physics were someone's ideas.

That's why they are coherent.

Does an SD card weigh more empty or full of porn?

Full due how the flash memory works.
But its a really faint amount, on the scale of nanograms.
