Why do people right main characters that have no flaws? I had an interesting idea at one point for a war story with a character that gets slowly and properly more violent to the point of straight up beating people who speak back to him.
A lot of modern characters seem to only suffer from some minor ptsd that only slows them down for a few seconds. Then they get over it ecause majik.
