But mi screen is 2d

jesus fuck that's creepy.

>thread dies due to lack of images

...

lol

>thread dies because the images are too hot for mods

I mean, I guess that's an option.

I'll bump to see what else you have to start it

I'll be back. Gonna take a shower and see if I can get more hooch.

>2D

Isn't that the nigga that's from the movie Cats vs Dogs?

this shit is fucking disgusting

agreed. I'll stick with 2D.

...

When trying to model a paw, how do you get the toes to NOT look like alien fingers?

...

Don't add that rounded arch at the joint.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

This still feels wrong.

Don't put any arch lol

Isn't there supposed to be an arch?

Very minimal.

Every photo I've seen has a significant arch though.
Then again, the only ones where there's little enough fur to make out any detail are photos of the sphynx breed, and they may or may not have different toes to other cats.
I'm talking about feline paws, btw

I know. It's hard to nail in computer rendering until you really study.

Study what though?
I can't find any good reference material.

look at pictures of actual paws and animal feet
not hard to find, especially if you own a doggo

>tfw no doggot to make me his bitch
Also, good pics are really hard to find.
Really, the best reference would be a 3D model made by someone else with great anatomical knowledge.

looks like there is fur in between toes, if you account for that in your model it might look better

add a little fluff

I'm modelling the flesh though, the fur is being rendered on top as actual fur.

you're probably going to have to check how whatever fur rendering system changes the silhouette and adjust your model accordingly

idk, I'm just a low-poly beginner, I stick to textures and normal maps

So, you've just been using references like the pic you gave me?

i started by using reference planes, now I just try to find a few different pics from different angles and look at those
results have been... varied

more complex stuff is hard to eye-ball and takes some in depth knowledge about the subject in question, be it anatomy or engine part measurements

it's like any other medium of art, you gotta learn how to look at things and break them down into simpler shapes and forms
and in the case of 3d modelling "good" topology

Reference planes?
Never tried them before, have seen them though.
Got any for paws?

best I've got is this
you're probably going to have to do some googling around to find what you need
