Its not hard to rig an ar 15 with a drum magazine to a robotic arm and create a sentry gun.
If you have the files and little bit of google skills you can easily fabricate the old sten guns from sheet metal.
If you got accses to a industrial cnc machine you could fabricate everything from the barrel to bullet casings overnight.

Also, I don't know how "easy" it would be to build a sten gun. I mean, they were mass produced like crazy, but that's because they were, as you said, stamped steel, but most people don't have access to that kind of equipment.

Sten guns are easy. Most people can fashion a make shift press out of either hydralics or simple weights.
Even easier gun schematics are readily available.
With a modern cnc machine you can make millitary grade m4`s. All from a few mb`s of cad drawings.
I have noticed since the war on terror started its harder to find the working stuff. Use a little bit of related keywords to the manufacturing and you get industrial grade schematics no problem.
Goverment and regulations are decades behind on this. I can order a simple cnc kit for less than $3k and build a production line of firearms.
Ive been trying to keep updatet on what the goverment will do to this information flow.
(yes some industrial cnc machines have encoded stuff to not print weapons, but its easily removable)
