isolation - i feel like this tune would've profited from some louder and punchier drums
yea dude the kick and snare can't compete with the 808 and vocals.
u need to make space in the mix by turning everything like 6dbs quieter and cutting out unnecessary frequencies with an eq.
then you can easily bring up kick and snare a few dbs. do this while listening to the track and stop once you feel satisfied with the sound of the mix.
something else you could do is group the kick with the 808 bass, give the 808 a light sidechain from the kick, eq both and compress the group they are in. (if ur using ableton glue compressor is the right thingy here)
for vocal mixing make sure everything below ~150-250 is lowcutted with a relatively low Q, you have multiple layers (usually one main layer, one completely panned to the right, one panned to the left) and you find the right reverb and the right dry/wet ratio. usually it's something from 25-40% but it all depends

i'm trying to do midi drums on two songs of mine but im not sure about how they sound. I'm not great at production desu. like the ones that are meant to sound electronic it works, but im trying to do a sparse ringo type beat on another and it sounds weird so far. Are the drums on your redacted songs programmed or live? they sound pretty convincing if theyre not live
