>tfw you really like the conjuring series as supernatural mysteries but hate them as horror movies
Samuel Thompson
I barely even remember the first, was pretty stoned during it Does this directly continue from the first or is it it's own thing?
Adrian Powell
Same couple, ed and Lorraine Warren, investigating a new case

I don't know how I feel about them. They're not technically bad made movies, but they're not great horror movies either. The casting is solid, they're filmed efficiently, but they lack tension, atmosphere, or scares for me so they fail at what they're supposed to be. Yet I've seen both and will probably watch the 3rd.
It follows the two demonoligists from the first film, but it's essentially stand alone. It does t continue the story from the first. New ghost and characters.
Bentley Rogers
I didn't even like the 1st movie. I was really bored, and I'm a lifetime horror fan.
James Phillips
I think of them as supernatural mystery thrillers. Terrible horror films, but as spooky mysteries to be uncovered, much much better. I honestly hope they realize this and try to go that route, because they just can't survive as horror films. I find them weirdly endearing films, to be honest.
