The problem with 'faces of Sup Forums' is the same problem that people have with tripfags. The internet is full of places where your face or your name or your alias is important and users are given some degree of direct attention for their posts. Sup Forums is one of the few places where users are anonymous by design, where the content isn't limited to people seeking validation or praise or whatever. By posting your face or using a trip code you're making this thread lose the one thing that makes this website stand out, it's anonymity.
The admins agreed with this issue and so a board was dedicated to this kind of content in an attempt to quarantine it and keep the feel of the other boards intact. I know this isn't breaking any rules, but you're making Sup Forums a shitter place by not keeping these threads on /soc/
I'm kind of surprised these threads get so much traction considering Sup Forums's previous attitudes towards tripfags, avatarfags and camwhores.
