Jews

Belgium and Luxembourg being Jews, while the French believed in them

Trust Maginot-line to work like WWI. Germans go around it through Benelux.

Overconfidence.

Also, Germany excelled at mechanized warfare tactics, which although standard now, were revolutionary and mostly untested at the time.

Overconfidence + the fact that you passed thought a neutral country.

a mixture of overconfidence, you cheating like a boss by occupying neutral countries AGAIN and luck
I mean c'mon France, they did the same exact thing in WW1, why wouldn't they repeat in WW2...

Jew president (Leon Blum) check it up

brits sold them out just like they did to the polish

Beta genes, that is why the Turks easily took paris

Gamelin was the most incompetent chief of staff ever.Even Churchill lost his shit over his incompetence.
And when communists sabotaged the anti-tank cannon factory it was game over man.

>Trust Maginot-line to work like WWI. Germans go around it through Benelux.
Maginot line served it's purpose - prevented Germans from attacking from that direction.
>I mean c'mon France, they did the same exact thing in WW1, why wouldn't they repeat in WW2...
Allies expected Germany to go through Belgium to avoid Maginot line, and hoped to bog them down there, but they didn't expect Germany to get highly mobile Panzer divisions through Ardennes forests into French heartland.

Also, Germany had at their disposal one of the most brilliant military commanders of all time, famous Polish general Erich von Lewinski.

They didn't count on the Germans being able to move mechanized infantry with such speed through the terrain they did.
Pushing them through the Benelux was part of the plan, but the Maginot line needed to be properly defended for that to happen
They figured that once they knew most of the German forces had been commited to that front they could move their own forces and create a choke point were the Germans could be held and outmaneuvered.
This plan went straight down the shitter since the Germans blasted through like they had the devil behind them and engaged the French when they were completely out of position.
basically what this guy said

They should have paid more attention to German engineering. It's not like the panzer were a secret
>lewinski
any relation to the other famous person named that way?

German tanks weren't superior, but their pilots were better trained and experienced, they also employed better tactics and were commanded by more skilled leaders.
>any relation to the other famous person named that way?
What other person?

mistake that frenchs did in ww2:
1. way too much trust in maginot-line.
2. france used tanks like in ww1, the wehrmacht used them differently (blitzkrieg taktik)
3. french army never used the full potential of radio like the germans did.

>German tanks weren't superior,
that is true. france had even better tanks then the germans at this time.

...

>france had even better tanks then the germans at this time.
what? The majority of french tanks were from ww1

So were the German ones

They thought the Germans wouldn't make the same mistake that cost them the last war.
Big mistake.

>be France
>convince Poland to start WW2
>make a plan how to defeat Germany
>your plan sucks donkey dick

de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maginot-Linie#Verlauf_des_Krieges_an_der_Maginot-Linie

>but their pilots were better trained and experienced
and high as fuck on panzerchocolade.
>convince Poland to start WW2
nice bait, Hans

france carried the burden of ww1
you cant expect a nation to do that again in 20years, alone

why was Germany so awesome in WW2
honestly, nazis aside you guys rocked
dont you ever have just a little feeling of goose bumps how brave and courageous the German soldiers were?

The people were very divided. It's easier to conquer a divided people.

you dumb sandnigger

>that eager guy in the middle
>the veteran on the right
>new guy on the left who's scared shitless
Poor guys

They had very good equipment, French tanks had front armor thicker than German ones and stronger cannons too, for example, but they spread their forces over large lines, so it was like, there was a very small density of forces per square mile. Germany would concentrate all its forces in just one particular point, breaking through the lose defenders. France also had a very poor air doctrine, they believed air forces were only for defensive porters and so leaved their planes in big cities like Paris when Germany was constantly using those planes on the front line, expanding their front. I've read sources say not a single French plane took flight in all of WW2.

Some of the stories about the free France forces are pretty neat

Bump

because we're surrender monkeys and has always been that's why you fucking mongrel

>free France forces
>french resistance

At least Charles de Gaulle didn't kill himself after getting massively ravaged by the USSR

It's true though
What are you

No it's not
French resistance was barely a thing honestly

>barely a thing

ofc a ouiaboo would know more than me right?

Because we were forced into a war that nobody wanted.

>declare war on Germany
>'forced into a war'

Really makes you think

So the over 100,000 soldiers and resistance members helping allies during the dday landings were barely a thing

They gave hitler an ultimatum and he didn't listen. And Germany invaded a neutral country that was doing nothing wrong to him

Ah yes, I remember that Free French uprising of literally 100,000 soldiers and fighters in Normandy. A well documented event.

>WW2
>nobody wanted
kek no shit

user I am giving you an ultimatum that if you breathe I will be forced to kill you.

This might be an extreme exaggeration regarding the topic, but nonetheless you will be forcing me to take action if you do not obey.

So they should have just given Poland to Germany. What kind of fucking idiot are you

No, but they made the choice to go to war. It was still a choice.

The only time when you are forced to go to war is when you are invaded, and even then not always.

Because it was politically divided and its leaders would do anything to avoid another war. For example signed a treaty that allowed Germans to annex some of the best defended territory in Central Europe.

Also, as you can see here, french tanks had really small turrets which wasn't helpful when the commander of the tank had to do everything up there.

>monkey
>white flag
>WW2

triggered

...

>hides the 'strength' part of the article
>look it up
>176 commandos

You really showed me user

no money, like always.

That's just one beach

subhumans, now they losing the war to niggers

...

Hmmm?

A war was necessary for Anglos. They wanted to drown both Facists and Communists in their own blood but it backfired due to Stalin's great planing and his spies in UK staff, Hitler also played a huge role in being a fuckup and dancing how they played him.

The war was wanted.

Falkenhayn succeeded at Verdun. France was bled white after WW1.

>Why was France so pathetic in WW2?
Communists ware very influential in France then. And since at that time Hitler & Stalin ware bbf's, Stalin ordered french communists to sabotage society & spread defetism and pacifism. They did so much damage, french government delegalised them short before war, but it didn't mean anything.
But also, in general, after loosing million men in WW1, french society had already a broken soul. They hated having to fight. They - soldiers & civilians both - hated (I read memoirs of polish soldiers) polish soldiers in france - untill germans attacked them, too.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_Army_in_France_(1939–40)

if he succeeded, why did the french win two years later?

cucks #1 of Europe, they probably no vote for Le Pen and his country will be doomed forever
