ITT: Albums that you can't compare to anything else
can be compared to poo poo desu
as a prominent UK musician, I can compare it to obscure "music" I made when I was like 13,
You can say that for DG's entire discography
Is that you Deano?
why are you memeing this band so hard? they're not even that popular anymore
please stop, get a live
Footwork
literally go on /bleep/ and play any song posted on there
listen to these.
youtube.com
youtube.com
listen to more music in general.
still a great release though
nothing compares
MY WHOLE LIFE MY WHOLE LIFE MY WHOLE FUCKING LIFE
ahhhh
...
I'd love to find anything like this though
what are they
also which ones better in your opinion
If you think DG is unique, you've never listened to this.
Released back before DG was big, too.
Some pretentious Cali ex-Nintendocore douchebag was DG before DG was DG.
I get how the sampling might be similar to DG, but I hear little to no similarities in regards to instrumentation and style in general. If anything B L A C K I E was DG before DG was DG.
>little to no similarities in regards to instrumentation and style in general
If anything, he goes further than DG. Harsh synths, screamo freakouts, etc., though he still slips in dancey parts and egotistical, cool clean vocals. It's DG's angry hobo + harsh hip-hop aesthetic, except it's the white version.
WAND - Golem
...
I'd love it if there was another album similar to this that isn't some other Residents releases.
Prove me wrong. Please
fuckingnormies.bandcamp.com
Isn't this just a gabber mix?
Please show me another album that sounds like this that isn't hallowed ground
>inb4 AJJ
One good album and doesn't sound like Violent Femmes
FRANKIE SINATRA
Mesmerise by Chapterhouse gives me the same vibe.
Years before deathgrips m.youtube.com
i dont think there's a person on the planet who is more desperate for the next death grips album than me. i am terrified of it but i have this incredible and constant on edge feeling that i know won't go away until i hear it.
Gang Gang Dance - Princes

This is literally nothing like candy claws. Sure it may have some shoegaze elements to it but it lacks the emotion
first acid trip listened to this, pretty cool and it was at the peak too. While I was listening to Fell In Love I looked down at my hands and they fell down a hallway in my mind, getting further away from my own eyes.
Mine happens to be Bones - SoftwareUpdate1.0, listened to it a little crossed while walking through the forest, it was super foggy and the sky lightly drizzled rain onto me
...
Smegma comes to mind
this band is just a shittier version of the Cramps
Joy Division
Missing the acoustic folk sound
I have never encountered anything in the same genre as incredible as this album
if only there was some autistic teenage music critic who could satisfy my urge for more!
I still haven't found another album that's affected me quite as much as this one
fuck, forgot photo
I'd love to find some more religious texan shoegaze concept albums but I doubt any others exist.
>implying candy claws is the only emotional shoegaze act
...
If anyone knows of similar to this
Please for the love of god
that's not an album
...
Besides Boredoms' other albums
papa geno's
nothing compares
...
Nothing can compare to this album
But first Are You Experienced?
...
Please recommend me something similar, I've been looking for years.
what genre?
this
As other people have replied there is very similiar music that was made before Steroids, but imo its one of the best in the genre. Dont mind the contrarians
Exuma, and that new Richard Dawson album is a straight up rip-off of First Utterance.
William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops
thank you, that Venetian Snares + Speedranch project actually sounds like Steroids quite a bit
Somebody point out stuff that sounds like the first song in pic related.
That's not what I'm implying at all you fucking idiot. And candy claws evokes such a specific emotion that I have yet to see adequately matched
YOU ALREADY KNOW

I can't quite scratch your itch but if you just want personal religious concepts shared by some 1st century Christianity that the modern mainstream religion tries to bury then try Current 93's Thunder Perfect Mind.
postal service
it's not music
pic related
Also STGSTV
>it's not music
it's literally mostly diatonic believe it or not
