The difference lies in ergonomics, as far as I'm concerned. I prefer the console, specifically the PS4, because of the controller. I'm not very good at keyboard controls. So if your question is which console you should get, my answer is obviously the PS4. As other anons will point out, they're basically the same from a technical standpoint, with only minor hardware differences. Sony however has more and better exclusive content. Nintendo is a moot concern unless you're 12. If anything is dead, it's Nintendo.

A ps4 costs 200 bucks, a decent pc about 1k. Why do you think is that? Because the ps4 uses the same cpu and gpu it used in 2013. And yeah it easily beats a 2013 pc, because of it being a console(everything optimized for gaming and games can be easily optimized because it's always the same hardware ) and because sony gets computerparts cheaper than us because they buy in masses. Also they probably sold the ps4 for less than they payed to make it, because they make their money from gamesales. It wont beat a modern pc though since it's 4 years later and technology has advanced.
