Wintersun's last 2 albums did exactly this, I think he fancies himself a classical symphony composer... just with distorted guitars and cookie monster vocals.
Just yesterday
I showed the album cover art. The shortest song on the album is an 8 minute accoustic version of one of the album's 4 main songs that was included as a bonus. All the proper songs are 12 minutes plus and arranged as a classical concerto in movements rather than as a rock album with separate independent songs.
