not listening to your shitty band
nu-male cuck metal edition?
What the fuck, why. They'll delete genre generals but they'll leave celebrity discussion threads up?
Got a package from Elffor today with his latest couple albums and the new Aura Negativ. Stoked to listen to them, especially new AN. Heard a preview and it sounds great.
But I have to work through the rest of my backlog first, never thought i'd have a sizable backlog of physical media.
Just put on pic related.
speaking of Uranium from the last thread
Why is Batushka playing all these major metal festivals in Europe all of a sudden?
So we got Ulcerate, Pyrrhon, and Howls Of Ebb getting it done these few years in terms of technical stuff.
We got Oranssi Pazuzu, Alcest, and Litourgiya doing the atmostuff.
But where are the bands who offer straight up raw as fuck riffage? Who's at the forefront of that?
It's a band created exclusively to make money so of course they're gonna do the most profitable thing.
Finland seems to be at the forefront of that from what I can tell. Bands like White Death, Horna, Sargeist, etc.
I'm mainly into american black metal lately though so I can't say what's the "cutting edge" for modern european riff based black metal.
stop making music
15th for Kvist
Are they the best comedy band of all times?
even though most of the metal shit I listen to is just black metal and grindcore I've always wanted a JEM guitar. Ibanez came out with a new anniversary one, so you don't have to grab one off eBay.
3 499,00 €
Yeah, great stuff. Who in the fuck is gonna buy this?
I have a JEM 70v, it's fucking great. BM sounds great but it's versatile too
what's the best American black metal band in your opinion? P
I don't think of any band or band(s) as the "best," but my personal favorite is Leviathan. I like the Quebec scene pretty well too.
hell yea dude \m/
tnt...jesus, that may be a first for /metal/. great to see them here.
actual metal kills faggots dead
Great album that I had not heard, thank you user.
Pretty solid release right here lads. FFO: Galneryus, Wuthering Heights, etc
Post your recent hauls, you stupid kvnts.
literally anything on nwn or dark descent or iron bonehead take your pick
Tell me more about the Quebec Scene
THE DECLINE OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION--THE METAL YEARS
In theory, metal is today's real rock and roll--the music of the people. It's basic, it's rude, kids love it, parents hate it. But the closer you look, the stupider and more delusory it seems. Metal isn't basic--it cultivates a pseudo-virtuosity that negates content. The dreams it promulgates are usually foolish and often destructive. Eighty per cent of the "people" who like it are male, and 98 per cent of them are white.
We get the feeling Penelope Spheeris went into this sequel to her L.A. punk documentary enamored of the theory and came out dismayed by the facts. After interviewing dozens of performers, several groupies, one self-promoting impresario, and a woman cop, she still obviously admires the manic dedication and hang-loose irreverence of metal's musicians and fans. But the evidence does pile up. Sex talk that at first seems purely bawdy is gradually revealed as the usual locker-room misogyny--musician after musician observes that a woman who'd sleep with him would sleep with anybody. Drugs have gone out of fashion, but not alcohol. In one truly horrifying sequence, W.A.S.P.'s Chris Holmes, reclining in a swimming pool wearing full leathers, pours two bottles of vodka down his throat as his mother looks on with a nervous smile.
L.A.'s atypically glam scene is where the hot American metal bands hail from these days, but that's a new development--of the six elder statesmen who volunteer their tarnished wisdom, only Alice Cooper got his start in the showbiz capital. Maybe that's why the old guys make so much more sense than the young ambition addicts whose mercifully truncated music is the film's ostenisble subject. More likely it's that they're successful enough to have turned into elder statesmen and smart enough to have succeeded. This movie bombed because it got panned in metal's word-of-mouth underground. Nonfans will learn a lot from it.
I guess glam really is nu-male repellent
it's nu-male atmoshit shite
wtf I love jesus now
To Hell With The Devil
Isn't that his home? Wouldn't he be comfortable there? Is satan a neet?
They meant it figuratively, you argumentative mongoloid.
this defensive with bants
this converts the heathen
When things are going wrong you know who to blame
NIGGERS STOLE MY CAR, FUCK YOU SATAN
am i nu-male if i listen to the first 2 the sword albums?
Don't know if this gets discussed here but it should be.
Also Lugal Ki En by Rings of Saturn is amazing even though it's way too uncool for a board packed with low-t, try-hard, hipster faggots.
Isn't that his home? Wouldn't he be comfortable there?
God holds domain over hell. God didn't him toss him somewhere just so he'd fuck off, Satan is spending his eternity burning in a lake of fire and brimstone.
spending 1000 years in a lake of fire and brimstone**
You're automatically a nu-male cuck for asking for personality appraisals from strangers on Sup Forums
i take it you are new here
I need help boys. I've had this fucking song stuck in my head for like a year now. The chorus says some shit like "inside out" and it plays this riff over it: http://vocaroo.com/i/s00U7bgmB6WM. I'm pretty sure it was like Devildriver or Lamb of God or some shit; melodeath/groove metal. The vocals definitely reminded me of Fafara. I know it's entry level bullshit but I need this fucking song right now. Please help
too uncool for a board packed with low-t, try-hard, hipster faggots
Likes ROS and Batushka
this is low effort bait right?
Bet it's this one.
New Godmother track! (Swedish grindcore.)
Jesus, those things look... awesome!
Not grindcore, sounds more like nucore or emo
Metallica is back baby
I promise you need AC more than whatever fag shit you were planning on listening to.
did you expect anything different from this general?
Blue Oyster Cult > Black Sabbath
If you disagree your a pleb
I have a JEM 70v
That's home invasion worthy right there. I hope you tune it to drop-A and just play Emmure songs.
Would rather be a pleb than pretend things m8
Is having emotion in metal music shunned upon?
do you think he shitposts around here? I love Uncle Varg. Or Louie or whatever he calls himself these days.
Deep Purple > Black Sabbath
If you disagree your a pleb
Deep Purple sucks though.
Blue Oyster Cult > Rainbow > Black Sabbath >>> Deep Purple
did you expect anything different from this general?
No, but I can hope.
On another note, I've finished listening through the second half of the 90's in Swedish death metal.
Only if your idea of emotion consists purely of muh feels lyricism.
Nice, I'm half way through.
GALNERYUS > MANOWAR
YOU'D HAVE TO BE A NU-MALE TO DISAGREE
i enjoy wigger slam
Vektor - Terminal Redux
i miss him bros
havent heard about vektor in a while
look them up
entire band quit except for the lead singer
none of them will talk about why
anyone have some sort of DSBM chart?
It helps the feeling
In return I give a far right metal chart
post your best fatcore lads
Not here, definitely has browsed pol since his channel picked up that demographic in the past year or so
ALICE IN CHAINS IS THE ONLY """METAL""" I WILL EVER LISTEN TO
How come scandinavians got cucked out of their genre by the dutch, slavs and even americans to some extent?
they didn't really, pick any extreme metal subgenre with the exception of thrash and maybe grindcore and the best albums will likely be from Europe, most likely Scandi
Holy shit this guy and his fanbase have become completely retarded.
YOU AIN'T FAT YOU AIN'T NOTHING
have become completely retarded.
so there was a time when they weren't?
I don't know i thought for some time he was sticking to some kind of happy role playing uncle role
he's still a tree-hugger, wich I can respect
Bigly late to the party here senpaitachi. Just listened to Wintersun S/T for the first time after having it in the backlog for years and found it to be pretty solid. What am I in for with pic related? Abject disappointment?
It's worse in every way.
Reading through the comments he personally "highlighted" on his channel is completely revealing though. Complete retardo conspiracy driven racism.
the s/t is godlike
this is not
He tries to play it off as "I'm not racist, I just think all races should be separate" but it should be completely obvious to anyone with a functioning brain what he's about.
happy role playing uncle role
average cheesy power metal record
His worst video is the one where he argues that writing was a bad invention that caused us to degenerate and lose our memories and that writing doesn't count as 'white' because northern europeans didn't have writing until the southern europeans introduced it.
Should've just stuck with black metal
most power metal is lame as fuck compared to this
Yeah you can spread all kinds of degeneracy as long as it "triggers the liberals" right? Go back to your oven coffin
average cheesy power metal is godlike you dumb newfag
Really ? I'd like to see that. Sounds like a bucket of popcorn to chew through
I hate Burzum' atmoshit but you gotta love how Varg triggers nu-males so easily
Burzum is trve KVLT
Yeah i am unironically triggered again and again by the shitstains that repeatedly spread bullshit and then go on the defense when called out by screaming "triggered triggered". These numbskulled beta cucks better die.
You have to be 18 to use this site fyi
A true Norseman is a formidable warrior, probably why they never got conquered.
I accept my fate, and honor your ridicule.
rings of saturn
i guess it's still summer
Your response was amazing! Thank you for finally showing me the ways of your tribe.
what did you mean by this
Only response is to call me a fat cuck.
Burzum is honorary TRVE because Varg is such a B A S E D guy
taking varg this seriously
getting this bootyblasted by a meme
Let's talk serious about this album.
The songwriting is impeccable. It's way too brilliant to let become marginalized into a meme.
I feel this album has made a serious impact on me and I don't think i'm the only one. I feel it touches my very soul, though I can't fully understand why since the writing is so cryptic.
Does anyone else feel like this? Any thoughts?
Please refrain from shitposting.
this is all I can contribute to the whole situation. In the end, you have to get your boats to a safe haven at some point in time. Varg on the other hand, had the triangular opposition going for him until about 2005 (ish), then there was the big break and influx of target practice (and in no small volume either). So the situation we find ourselves in now is delicate and difficult, but will Varg, of all black metallers, be the one to move us out of it? I have my doubts.
Please refrain from shitposting.
do you know where you are?
but yeah it's p gud
I like this album, but I also despise the type of people who love this album (/mu/ types). I think like a lot of people here feel like this, probably the reason it gets memed so much
I feel it touches my very soul
I'm not that much of a pretentious wanker, but yeah it's a good album.
true northern beauty. If Varg says it is his favorite album and free of degeneracy, it's mine as well.
so much for contributing to an important discussion you dweeb
people that tell others to go back to reddot are in fact reddit themselves
Let's talk serious about this album.
It's fucking my neck up bad.
Went to Summer Slaughter today. Black Dahlia Murder, Dying Fetus, and Origin were fantastic. This is my 3rd time seeing TBDM, and they've been the best live band I've seen every single time.
Who's the best metal act live y'all have seen?
when it comes to partying, aborted were turning the tent around like nobody else... misery index in 2005 being a close second.
In terms of "all boxes checked" (sound, performance, crowd, musicianship, cool dudes factor) probably immolation this year.
Do you headbang listening to albums alone?
It's getting a reissue. Hooray!
yeah of course. I can't help it. It's almost like the music is making me move. As if there's a passion inside the foundation of metal where not headbanging is impossible.
about time. Vinyl reissue I hope.
Who chad metal hear?
Yeah I hope (and believe so). Been holding out as I don't particularly care for forking out $100 for a copy. Hopefully the reissue is a good'un with no stupid remastering nonsense.
Also some enjoyable shit. Same rotten quality level as carcass and not as formulaic as newer carcass clones
truly the finest shitposter of our era
One of the few gore groups to outgrow the gimmick. Very enjoyable.
5 african bodyguards
what did he mean by this?
/DEATH METAL SUMMER/
I feel like discussing v4 scenes
Poland / Czech / Slovakia / Hungary
Extremely underrated countries, except Hungary
I'm thinking of doing death metal December.
Powermetal autumn when?
Frankly, winters are usually reserved for BM. But if you want, why not.
I see that someone knows some gud goregrind from v4
Autumn is also reserved for BM. Blame it on BMfags. But Spring is free. I feel like spring should be for Speed / Thrash / Power. Alas, only 80s early 90s stuff. I just can't like the neo-movements, not only in Thrash, but overall
what video is this from lol
every single year since nbbmn's inception new rounds of posters have tried to do a genre month but none of you ever stick through it like the nbbmn guys
Because black metal is cancer, obviously it would stay.
I don't care about the threads, those are merely a bonus.
This is their best along with Fas
let me add some
Piekelne Wrota (probably one of the earliest DM bands, started as punks)
Violent Dirge (essential listen, especially craving)
Tenebris (something for Atheistfags)
to only name the few
Do you have some knowledge about Czechs?
They are more into grindcore, but they are great too.
metal isn't the place for whiny displays of patheticism, nu-male
fuck yeah. metal is supposed to have hairy balls, not some symphonic tits
Lykathea Aflame / Appalling Spawn
Didn't know them. Good job, I'll add them to my list
Agony Conscience (weird vacuum DM)
Crusher (to not confuse them with French one)
DAI (essential Black / Death with Doom)
Dissolving of Prodigy
Fleshless (Czech Cannibal Corpse)
Forgotten Silence (their later albums are very experimental)
Czechs are very into experimental and jazzy stuff
Slovakia is something of a mix between Poland and Czechs. One one hand Slovaks love Czech's Jazzy structures and style (like Dissonance), on the other hand, they are very in your face Polish Brutal Death Metal (like Erytrosy). Unlike Czechs, they are not into grindcore as much, and more into Thrash / Death, like Poles, but they still regain some of the experimentalism, albeit it's not ass out-there as Czechs.
Hungary is on the other hand a mix of Romanian Metalcore / Groove Thrash / Death and Austrian pungent deathgrind. There isn't much from Hungary to boast, but they have bands like Extreme Deformity that sounds very Austrian, while on the other hand, they have bands like Necropsia that sound like Machine Head.
Not from any of the countries you listed, but France got two of my all time favorite death metal bands, that I never see/hear anyone talk about:
Pitbulls in the Nursery
We discussed France last saturday.
If you have patience, you should check the archive, I wrote a wall of text about France
cont. also I mostly specialize in the 80s 90s and sometimes early 00s metal. I have nothing against the new bands, but I am more interested in the originators than followers.
Oh yeah forgot about them
Can't say I know of any slovak death metal though
is there any good Bulgarian metal?
I just checked Yyrkon, and I realized that their debut album is on my list to listen in the future.
Thanks for reminding me
Sanatorium, man. They are very essential, and I prefer there 90s output with the forests on their covers.
Decay - The Planet of Animals
Dementor (I don't like them, but they are probably the most known)
Depresy (another well known band they have this melodic black / death style)
Gladiator (early stuff, they later moved to pop rock)
Yes. Next post
I am very insecure and angry
Didn't know they were slovak, cool
Do you have any african death metal recs? I know they have a small extreme metal scene
Currently I am listening to the newest Soulburn and Morta Skuld. Strange albums. Soulburn is continuing their Black / Doom with Death style, while Morta did a weird, albeit enjoyable mix between Humanity Fades / Surface.
Anyway about Bulgaria
Corpse (still active after all these years, their debut album had some notoriety)
Foeticide (my personal fave)
Incarnation (they had a hilarious Immortal-tier video, but they also had a very good EP)
Necromancer (ambitious band, they almost made it)
Past Redemption (!)
Powerdrive (obscure, but Bulgarians should respect their album)
And, from the rookies
Keep in mind, that I still learn about Bulgarian scene. I would say that Bulgarians have this certain Russian roughness in their sound, albeit they remind me of some early Czechs demos. Don't know why.
just saw my local shop stocked that album, how is it?
i'm not really either normally but i understand where the whole anti nu-male sentiment comes from, at least partially
Eh... South Africa was the only country that had some shit going, but it was because most of the bands were composed of white dudes
Voice of Destruction
Malignant Saviour (this one is interesting, because they are more known than they should be)
Death of Africa
Black Cathedral and Other stories
Namibia had also this one band that had some shit going Arcana XXII (they played Power Metal, though)
Otherwise, I only know some stuff from Botswana, like Crackdust and Wurst.
Most of the african countries fall into the rookie territory, which I'm not as good as when it comes to the 90s. Currently everything grows, and it's pleasing to see finally these countries being creative when it comes to music and metal
oh shit, I forgot about Algeria
Litham / Lelahell is a must.
Algerians went into the Nile way, same with Egyptians.
From Egypt I know these bands
North Africans seem to be better organized, though
Do you have any good hidden war metal gems? Any country
not him but Damaar from Lebanon
already love Damaar my man
War Metal is not necessarily my forte
If you want GOOD War Metal, Australia and Canada specializes in that style, beside the obvious like Conqueror / Revenge, Bestial Warlust, they also had
Anatomy, Darklord, Deadspawn (don't remember if they were War Metal enough), Hecatomb, Martire, Sadistik Exekution (do they count?), Slaughter Lord
Antichrist, Cremation, Damnation, Procreation, Sacramentary Abolishment, Voor
keep in mind, that it's hard for me to differentiate between pure War Metal and bestial Black / Death
Kaoteon also is from Lebanon, right?
AFAIR they were War Metal
keep in mind, that it's hard for me to differentiate between pure War Metal and bestial Black / Death
Isn't this exactly what war metal is though? I don't think there's much to differentiate
Thanks for the recs though, really appreciated
No problem. I study DM for the last 6 years.
It's funny, because I thought of myself as a Thrasher. The problem started when I wanted to make a top 100 list of the best Thrash / Death / Black metal albums. Death was done almost instantly, with BM it took few days, but for all my life, I couldn't finish the Thrash Metal one.
I still love 80s Speed / Thrash the most.
thanks for this
also, it's worth noting that Martire's debut from 2012 (albeit they started in 80s) is a treat for audiophiles. As one of the reviews mentioned, you can hear delightfully every hit of the drums
Yeah i recall you're the dude that posted similar obscure french and belgium death metal a few days ago
What would be your top 10 from these 3 genres out of curiosity?
That dude was me.
My top 10?
Only about the albums I physically own
1.Sepultura - Morbid Visions
This is basically where it started for me. I liked Max Cavalera's other band and I was young and impressionable. I bought myself a lot of Sepultura's remasters and started from the beginning. I already knew bands like Slayer, Megadeth, Danzig, Mercyful Fate, Blind Guardian, and most of the Metal lite, but I wasn't prepared for this.
2.Sarcófago - I.N.R.I.
They are known as BM originators, but one thing that was important for me was that these guys were young, snotty punks. In many ways they remind me of the different times.
3.Malevolent Creation – The Ten Commandments
Malevolent is something of a Death Metal heroes for me. My adventure started with Warkult, but Retribution and this one are my faves.
4.Obituary – Cause of Death
After I fell in love with Sepultura, I instantly started digging more of that Roadrunner roster, I bought this album. From the first note to the last, it was pure greatness.
5.Vader – Ultimate Incantation
They have a special place, due to my country of origin, as they were the first to break from the "iron courtain". Their first album was the result of 10+ years of hard work. It's not perfect, but at the same time it was their ultimate statement on Death Metal.
6.Nocturnus – The Key
During the earliest days, when I fell in love with Dan Seagrave's art, this album stood out from others due to the keyboards, but not done in a cheesy way. Great songwriting
7.Autopsy – Mental Funeral
Every song on that album is a hit. All killers, no fillers, even if there are actually fillers, between some of the songs.
8.Morbid Angel – Covenant
9.Pestilence – Spheres
I still don't own Consuming Impulse, otherwise I would put it here instead, but on the other hand, I feel like this album has too much hate. Visions from Within was a great song to drink alcohol with friends.
10.Bolt Thrower – Realm of Chaos
Any good Romanian bands?
I only know Bucovina, Aabsynthum and Whispering Woods.
and the top 20 would be
11.Suffocation – Effigy of the Forgotten
12.Gorefest - False
13.Brutality – When The Sky Turns Black
14.Carnage – Dark Recollections
15.Ceremonial Oath - The Book of Truth
16.Atheist - Unquestionable Presence
17.Loudblast - Disincarnate
18.Napalm Death – Utopia Banished
19.Sentenced - North from Here
20.Mortification – Scrolls of the Megilloth
in regards to Speed / Thrash
in no particular order, because I never really put that much thought, would be
Hexx, Realm, Sanctuary, early Exodus, early Megadeth, early Sodom, Dark Angel, Forbidden (albeit they were more technical than others), Wolf Spider, early Dragon, Kreator's debut, Vio-Lence
early Flotsam Jetsam, Death Angel, Overkill, Carnivore, Hallow's Eve
I would have to prepare better, because I am a little drunk, though. I would certainly dig up some obscure stuff, because what I posted is too obvious.
If it makes you feel better, I don't know the bands you mention and I'll add them to the list
The problem with Romania is that it has a lot of the Metalcore / Tough Guy stuff.
BUT, Romania still have some gold.
Bestial records were probably the best, because they had most of the notable bands
Altar (only their debut)
Avatar (when they played Melodic Black / Death)
Dies Irae (they changed the name to Wargasm)
God (they moved to Portugalia)
Necroticism (they didn't officially released the album, but it's still available on the net)
Protest (different one from Slovakians)
Ultimatum (probably the best band)
Looking at this list, you like Doom / Death, albeit it also has this Gothic feel, unlike Finland.
If you like vader - ultimate incantation you should check out the 2015 re release of the morbid reich demo. It has fantastic sound for the first time (previously only shoddy cassette demos were floating around) and puts ultimate incantation to shame if you can believe it. Overall good taste !
Thanks man, really grateful.
you should check out the 2015 re release of the morbid reich demo
heh, I already did. Albeit I had their demo compilation as well
As a matter of fact, I recommend getting Live in Decay remaster, it has some unpublished songs, and it's Vader at its most primal, when they had a different vocalist.
I still hope that they will do a compilation of their pre-1989 stuff, it could easily be 2cds. The whole world should hear the Thrash Camp Live demo.
also, if we talk about Vader,
Ultimate Incantation had a different session, that was made in Sweden by the same guy who did first Entombed.
It is available on Polish blogs, I even contributed with my findings. There is no complete version, but from what we gathered so far, the original version was much more Black Metal than Death, if I can say it. Vocals were much more rougher. It sounded more like Necrolust demo, rather than Morbid Reich, which is probably why Peter scrapped them, because he was a buttblasted perfectionist. I bet that if Vader re-released the original version of their debut, it would make waves among the Black Metal collectors for sure.
any mexican/central american bands that sound like motörhead?
Mexicans love Thrash / Death, so it shouldn't be a problem
I fucking love speedböozer
When I think about it, Holocausto was probably the first War Metal band, especially that they even dubbed their style that way. And music-wise they played a very rough and amateurish version of Black / Death / Thrash.
Campo De Exterminio everyone
Yeah i've heard Live in decay and it's interesting but a bit too raw for me production wise to consider it a proper vader release (if that makes sense). But certainly good as a historical insight into the development of their sound.
any snippets from this other session would be appreciated though
but a bit too raw for me
Not only for you. One of the reasons that it wasn't published before was because Peter considered it too raw
I like it, though. It's not what I usually listen, but in that case, I think it fits
Tyrants of Hell / Tyrani Piekieł
This is speed / thrash Vader. Original version recorded for radio, and new version from XXV
I will look now for the Swedish sessions for Ultimate Incantation
On soulseek, search for Vader sunlight sessions
If the links don't work, notify the blog, and they should reupload it.
What does Sup Forums classify iron maiden as? They're my favourite band, i love metal in general and I consider them metal, but sometimes I second guess myself.
Heavy Metal, duh
Are you a fucking retard? Iron Maiden is one of the most famous and acknowledged heavy metal bands out there, you don't have to think about anything here, there's no doubt they're metal, but one of the most overhyped bands to ever be.
alice in chains is the only good metal band in the world
not being that god damn son of a bitch
who the fuck doesn't
Not the only one. But they are fucking good
hipsters I guess
There used to be more. From what I remember, the vocal varied from song to song, as if Peter was searching for the best vocal performance. I should really dig through my tapes, because the internet doesn't have a lot of the gems.
i classify them as gallopingcore not the inventors of it but the first band to incorpore it into metal
stop making up genres, they're nwobhm
Not interested the Rock and roll Hall of Fame
You're wrong, if anything they're underhyped. Not even because of not being in the RnRHoF, simply because they aren't praised enough, most people think they're just average when they're so much more
I don't agree with that video, but it has a point
most people think they're just average when they're so much more
thats just Sup Forums and co
normies overrate them to sin
Time to kill nu-males
thats because you dont come from a rich gallopingcore culture i was into Ghost Riders in the Sky even before liking them
Similar to sarpanitum?
I bought one. Green one. I'm a nostalgic idiot but I love it. Didn't pay $3500 for it either. Wanted one since I was a kid.
Pay good money to see your favourite band
They open with some other band noone has heard of
They take time away from the time you could have had seeing your fav band
That faggot is just mad noone cared about his shitty opening performance
no they look like shit. vomit color scheme. then again, les paul player here. I hate all other bodies anyway.
the green looks good
Iron Maiden is great, but sometimes the fans should chill out a little bit more. It's not like IM is some obscure forgotten band that no one ever heard of. Even my parents heard Iron Maiden.
how would you rate my 2017 so far?
(not including relistens)
all those virgin covers
what's a non-virgin cover?
Diabolus/CtK > Fas > Kenose > Synarchy > rest
rate my alpha-male week
Wrong One to Meme With
only good album on this chart 2bh
Are you serious? This shit is literally LARP-tier
If someone has some requests, shoot (not literally)
otherwise I will drink some booze and listen to metal
Thank god for that red marker on the tab
Uncanny that some people know who X-Japan was
before they got hiroshima in their head
Have some obituary
Nuclear Attack - Critical Mass
Next time do it right.
THE PLACE WE LIVE
I didn't want to be banal.
Everyone can post it, but not many people will admit that they like "Don't Care"
also, listen to this, without prejudice
I was looking for video that had babes with boobs.
alas it's probably deleted. It was a good video, because you could mute the vid and watch babes shaking their bewbs
Some faggot mentioned AIC
I will post that song
whats your guys favorite fear factory album
They are a good band, albeit they became too memetic. They should have split up long time ago, though
post some of that good doom
go fuck yourself
Do not sin again
Why do women pretend they're into metal? They only listen to surface level shit and usually want to impress a guy with it.
i am desperate for more music like this, it is the only metal i really like
Use your dick and correct their ways
you just answered your own question dingus
goddamn, that's exactly what I thought as well
Wanna see quads?
great minds think alike
Indeed. In the end however, it doesn't really matter
i don't like pantera from what ive heard, the production is so anemic, like a demo and sounds very bassless and the tempo is either too slow or too fast
i hate djent garbage, does mnemic really count
I see shit
Why Immortal is always so memetic?
Their video, their interviews, their cover art, their music. It's like they try to be serious, but the reality check...
their image has always been tongue-in-cheek retard but they take the actual music seriously
I treated they music seriously, until I've seen their image. Checkmate atheists.
But really, when you look at immortal, they have a history of bad decision after bad decision. And bad luck too
I treated they music seriously, until I've seen their image
found the nu-male
Yeah, Good god one step closer hurr durr
Have a good song faggots
well aren't you picky
oh fuck yea, this song kills me
the whole album is soul crushing, both musically and lyrically.
Korn, Meshuggah, the list could go on.
dsbm isn't kvl-
more like disma?
Any Judas Priest fans lurking here?
one of their many God Tier albums
There, I finished it for you.
Wings were definitely a step up from Rolla, but Stained Class is better and even that ain't their best.
I am, but I'm too gay to post
I hope you like your tuning problems
Agreed man. For what it is though, Sad wings is great. Priest's first metal album, with some absolute killers, like The Ripper and Victim of Changes. Even Dreamer Deceiver ain't half bad, even if it is not even remotely close to metal. I'd say Stained Class, Screaming, Defenders and of course, Painkiller are their best.
You can tell me Bruce is better all day, but he can never, and will never, be able to sing the lower register growls like Di Anno can. Wrathchild and the title track are among my favorite Maiden songs. Everyone was at their best here.
Forgot album link
Di'Anno showed more range on their s/t than Bruce ever did. Also, Bruce can suck it, he's as overrated as is TNOTB
TNOTB had like, what, 3 good songs? Maybe 4. The title track was pop metal, and almost felt like filler to be honest. No one will argue Hallowed be thy name being their No.1 song, but there are better Bruce albums. Piece of mind was superior to Beast, and Beast doesn't even touch Powerslave in terms of number of good songs.
Powerslave, Seventh Son, Somwhere In Time are all great, Powerslave being my favorite, but yeah, Piece Of Mind was good, too. Maiden went down the drain from there, desu.
Let's pray to god
kill him, fucking kill him
EVERY MORBID ALBUM PAST COVENANT SOUNDS LIKE ASS
why are you posting post-hardcore in the metal thread?
Yeah, no one really likes 90's Maiden.
good job, thanks for parroting the critical consensus
Drought is easily in their top 3
Name a good album post-covenant and state the reasons why you believe it or them to be good
riffless garbage, this is barely even metal
It means emotion spans more than just "dude sad lyrics :(" and anything that claims to be emotional while falling back on "emotion" of such shit caliber should be laughed at and ridiculed.
Gateways To Annihilation - riffs, riffs and riffs!
The riffs are there, and its fucking great.
half the general listens to nu-male atmoshit and you're complaining about Dankspell not having enough riffs. fucking kys brainlet
At first I thought this album was pretty meh, but on repeated listens this is definitely the top RoB album so far. Just phenomenal.
nothing on gateways is on the same level as altars/blessed/covenant, and steve tuckers growling sounds generic as hell
Summoning Redemption begs to differ. Also, Formulas hardly sucks, Heaving Earth was good and Invocation of the Continual One is their best song.
Japanese goodness, but i like Imaginary Landscapes better
Arcturus isn't obscure, but they're good. Sham Mirrors and Aspera are my favorites.
Gallows is my fav, those raspy vocals are great.
Invocation better than any altars song
Havent listned to these guys since Somniphobia, good to see them still kicking. Gonna listen now.
because I like the lyrics
Don't like Aspera soo much, and i didn't listen to Sham Mirrors yet, but i'm gonna soon
But really, this one album i can call it a Masterpiece without any doubts
Another Masterpiece, and it was launched this year!
It's not just that Paul was a better singer, there was a different style to what Maiden were trying to achieve when Paul was the vocalist.
Their first two albums are by far the most straightforward in their entire discography, songs averaged between 3-4 minutes and there was more of a focus on riffs and bass interplay than there was on vocal melodies. Paul's gruff singing voice was just the cherry on top to what Maiden were trying to do at the time, he never hogged most of the glory that the band were trying to create. With Bruce on the other hand there's a night & day difference between the role of vocals from Killers to NOTB and it's not just because Bruce sings in a higher register. Choruses went on for far longer with Bruce trying to steal as much spotlight as possible, and because of this new chorus-driven over riff-driven style Maiden were now going for songs could be ruined depending on how annoying Bruce wanted to be. Paul Maiden was for people who wanted to pull out a guitar and jam along, Bruce Maiden was for people who stand in front of a bathroom mirror with their hairbrush doing theatrical singalongs.
That's right, Invocation is their career best.
The build up for the middle riff, as the riff itself, is fucking great.
fix your opinions
You're right. I've always had a predilection for the Di Anno era Maiden. It has a sound that I can always come back to and enjoy, where as Bruce era stuff can start to feel sterile and stale after repeated listening.
AHAHAHAHAHA this is his actual website. And he is talking about content and good taste.
mfw i just now find out Agalloch and Vektor disbanded WTF guys no one tells me anything!
DsO is next, just you wait.
They have at least 1-2 more albums in them. I wouldnt be surprised.
I only like Altars of Madness and didn't get Blessed Are The Sick
