DUDE

Theyre the real deal senpai

excellent gif

Does anyone know how much involvement Mild High Club had with the album?

Also what's everyone's favourite track so far? Really liking Tezeta and The Book.

>4 new albums in two years
>3 are from this year
Why has KG blessed us so?

Feels like a MHC album.

Great when the album starts because it's uncovered ground for King Gizzard but 15 minutes into the album i'm already bored.

At the end of the day they're not really great songwriters

The Book is the only noteworthy track on the entire album.

Probably gonna give this another listen or two but so far I'm unimpressed and bored.

What's the best song and why is it The Spider And Me?

murder of the universe is better imo

Definitely an AOTY contender.

yo this shit sound like mario kart

Continue my legacy, my sons.

tezeta is the best song on the album along with the spider and me.
the whole first half really but it starts to get boring the further you lisent

King gizzard: yes, father

Fell asleep listening to it at and embarrassingly had nightmares, amazing album

The mixing is terrible.

>At the end of the day they're not really great songwriters
This. I wish they'd focus more on releasing a bunch of EPs rather than albums. That way, they can put more focus into the songwriting and only have to worry about 20 or so minutes rather than 40 to an hour.

Still like them as a band, but lately they've been releasing decent stuff with a few great songs rather than great stuff with just a few decent songs.

I listened to that on mushrooms and was scared that the devil was living inside the songs and trying to take over my soul.

Good shit

At least this one sounds mildly different from the same woo riff woo trash they've been doing for a while.

DUDE SHROOMS LMAO
DUUUUUDE DA DEVIL IS ALIVE

yeah DUDE it was TOTES CRAY CRAY

Where's the love for Journey to S(hell)?

I just smoked a j and decided to check out this album and I find it to be unbelievably chill. Highly recommend. Or should I say Mildy high recommended.

I can't wait until I get home so that I can smoke a bowl of cannabis while I listen to these effin sick tunes.

the Bitches Brew of our generation.

best track

Gonna jam out to these fuckin sick riffs with the bros later on

Hmmmmm

Nice bit of grooviness.

dude I just smoked a bowl and listened to this hehe yooooo I don't even remember most of it but I feel pretty rad now

Did this album start this ironic reddit meme?

woooooooooo

>At the end of the day they're not really great songwriters
pretty much. They're really good live and I love listening to a few of their albums but they seem to just have an idea and repeat it a bunch.

we got a fresh meme straight from reddit, boys

hagh hagh bagoosh this album is doooooope dude

Nonagon > Murder > Sketches > Banana

Murder = Sketches > Nonagon > Banana

why include a 2016 albem

>nonagon bandwagoner

Why not?

link plea

quality fucking meme

why not include fucking mind fuzz, quarters and paper mache then, or every other album you fucking retard?

...

LMAO
they tried so hard it's so bad
Just stick to Papier Maché: it's more genuine, less contrived, shorter, more inventive, more colorful, fresher.
tldr. I can only appeal to prog-fags.

I've seen each of those albums with a gimmick (I don't use that term negatively) or a theme. NI has the infinite loop, Banana has microtonal tuning, Murder is a grand story split into three parts, and Sketches is a jazz fusion album.
No clue if the others have something similar to them.

big agree from me, my dude

album definitely sold itself on me right there

>tfw live in Brunswick east

It's like this album was meant for me

how about you listen to them then
mind fuzz is nonagon trilogy episode 1
paper mache is like sketches but more folk
quarters is four 10:10 length songs

the_more_you_know.jpg
I will do so.
Still like Nonagon the best so far.

i think you'll appreciate MOTU alot more after listening to mind fuzz and paper mache as MOTU recycles some motifs from them, specifically Trapdoor and Cellophane

I'm just surprised the music is actually good. It's not just a bunch of generic bullshit for them to say "DUR WE DID IT! FIVE ALBUMS IN ONE YEAR!"
They actually have personality.

Sketches > Paper Mache > Nonagon > Oddments > Quarters >>> I'm in your mind fuzz >>>>>>> murder of the universe >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> banana

VOMIT COFFIN

>banana that low
wew, glad I'm not the only one

Quarters>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>everything else

this sounds like a fourth rate Frank Zappa album in the worst ways possible

ffhks.bandcamp.com/album/plume

lol yea man it's just soooo repetitive and they don't do much with the microtonal stuff. Glad they used them a bit on Sketches tho, thought that was pretty cool

My only problem with Quarters is the same reason why I don't like murder of the universe or banana very much. Other than The River (which is def one of my top 5 songs from them), all the songs felt like they were 4 minute songs they decided to drag out for an extra 6 minutes for the sake of a "concept"

this is literally smooth jazz
ask any King Gizzard fan how much Psych or Jazz they've explored
their answer will always be almost nothing

i only listen to king gizzard albums

only king gizzard has sick riffs

that's where you're wrong kiddo!

Dang, I love this album. Maybe I should listen to Zappa after all

check out Hot Rats

Will definitely, thanks

...

>they'll never top float along - fill your lungs
feels bad man

Sketches>Nonagon>Murder>Mind Fuzz>Banana>Oddments>Quarters

bruh u forgot paper mache

Quarters > Paper mache > Sketches > FMB > [power gap] > oddments > eyes like the sky > float along > motu > mind fuzz

>There will be 2 more KG albums this year
Truly blessed

SICK

>[power gap]
same lol

totally feel the same about quarters
