Pianists tend to blend into the background unless the group is a trio or intentionally makes room for piano parts.
Nowadays, they're relegated to jazz trios, jam bands, or simple accompaniment in a rock/pop context.
Keyboard-based performers tend to be less visually-interesting than pretty much any other instrument. Instruments already have a background role in modern pop music, so it makes sense that pianists are the first to get cut.

It's just the fully retarded version of Bruce. The skill of Born to Run's playing but the whole thing is a joke so he doesn't have to fit into Bruce's elegant songwriting. I don't even know how he plays this fast:
