It's been 3 years, has anyone topped this release? I remeber everyone creaming themselves over this one. I haven't really lurked Sup Forums since then. I need more Hard as fuck music.
DnB, Jungle & Gabber

For the uninitiated

Fucking great album. Honestly for straight up jungle nothing has. Closest has been synthwave shit like Perturbator that inspire a lot of the same rush but not close to the same rhythm
it's basically just a mid-to-late 90s compilation album.
That's disappointing to read. I'm listening to the Dred comp release for 2017 but Machine Girl is strangely absent. These other guys on it alright tho
Bampu
This sounds cool. Do you have a download?
What.cd has a 320 iirc
Nothing has topped it because jungle/hardcore revivalism isn't on anyone's radar yet. With the recent exposure the album got thanks to youtube recommendations maybe he'll do a sequel or inspire some other producers.
In the meantime just check RYM/discogs lists on jungle/darkcore whatever. There is a lot of hard as fuck original shit out there. Also where were u' in 92 is a tamer version of the same concept.
ive got some news
But that doesn't sound even remotely like dnb or jungle
you can buy it for literally 1 pound
Because he posted the worst track on the album. Overall the album is much more breakbeat/hardcore than dnb but has a bunch of classic jungle breaks on the entire album.
Not even a month ago, the album was still free on his bandcamp.
Yes, I know it costs money now. Why did you link that?
People who turn off the pay what you want option are ruining bandcamp.
here you go
Mint
it's fucking shit
needs Lee Bannon - Alternate/Endings, Kallisti - Arc of Fire

Here's a better machine girl track

Seeing him live in November
Bumpu
Lol
Amen
one if not the only thing I'm glad Sup Forums memed me into
metalfag here
I clicked on it on youtube because I expected thrash metal
I love it
any recs for someone who didn't care for bleeps for most of his life?
I heard metalfags like synthwave like Perturbator. It's basically metal but with synths. I don't like it personally, why too cheesy.
Just start where everyone starts. Daft Punk, Justice, Yeezus. If you like more drums in your electronic music check out jungle and hardcore. There's definitely something out there for you.
pertubator's cool, super cheesy as you said but so is most metal so idc
I really don't like Daft Punk, Justice and Yeezus, sounds way too top 40. Now I realise I sound like people who want into metal but refuse to start with black sabbath, oops
any jungle/hardcore recs?
venetian snares is the go to electronic musician for metalheads
I need some more like this bleepfags
The only people who use bleep is IDM autists.
you should try opening the thread
>Daft Punk, Justice, Yeezus
As related to this thread as Bob Dylan to Burzum
>bleep is IDM
wtf no
Metal heads cant read.
can comfirm
>you should try opening the thread
I was just thinking that those were more obscure stuff you know, cause everyone in this thread knows a lot about bleeps, I didn't want to miss the albums that are so classic that no one talks about it
This is a must listen in my book, super dark:

my bad thx
bleep is for the most mundane, boring, monotonous, uninteresting shite techno and house you can find
I started with skrillex random dubstep remixes of popular songs UKF then monstercat in 2012ish
Good stuff
/bleep/ are plebs more interested in anime and circlejerking over a Chilean grimes fan namefag
I don't have time for anime bc of tunes :(

You're right jungle is hot shit right now. Forget about trap, edm or deep house, it's all about those crunchy breaks. People go absolutely wild at parties when you play jungle, you're right. It's not at all niche right now. Sorry for not knowing my shit.
youtube.com
This label and Hypercolour are essential
Leave him alone, he's obviously a pard
this guy was wrong but these posters were spot on ,
jungle is fine, but how about something harder
gabba, speedcore, whatever
though it may be a bit inaccessible for a newcomer

Wait, so /breaks/ a thing now?
Is it all the hardcore continuum or just 90s and 90s throwbacks?
I'd be up for it, /bleep/ is shit and so is most of what they post desu
Increasing the BPM and cranking up the distortion doesn't make it harder for me. I prefer jungle.
Dunno why all these people are saying /bleep/ is shit, if you guys posted more jungle/hardcore, people like me would post more and it wouldn't just be about s/t and techno. Hell, I think I'm the only one who posts footwork regularly
I don't even go in there anymore, fuck anime, fuck s/t and fuck techno
me too, breaks are far more expansive and varied with everything from downtempo and trip hop through jungle, hardcore, d&b to big beat and lolicore, so much more to the genre than techno or house
>fuck anime
:/
fair enough
there is something for everyone in the jungle senpai, just gotta search

There is way better stuff on Dred Collective than that album
Not true. This album blew up because it gave people an aesthetic they were looking for.
What? It's a good album, but there's loads of amazing stuff on Dred Collective no one talks about, the compilations for example
Is big beat dead?
This man is an oldschool ruffneck.
doubt anyone except for me and u whos posted in this thread so far knows what the hardcore continuum is, man fucking recommended daft punk and justice a few posts above you
>man fucking recommended daft punk and justice a few posts above you
He asked where to start with electronic music. What's wrong with entry-core?
he said he liked machinegirl and got recommended daft punk and justice (as if he hasnt fucking heard of them)
Why do people always recommend Justice and Daft Punk?
There are so many better house releases out there. Hell, Bangalter has loads of better releases than he did with Daft Punk.
I just don't get it, Cross is fucking crap as well
Americans are weird
wahey Monstercat were my entry point into "electronic" music (i.e. brostep)
youtube.com
ah man it's trash but I've got so many happy memories associated with this
Both Discovery and Cross are classics of their respective genres. Hating on well respected, critically acclaimed entry-level albums doesn't make you cool user.
>There are so many better house releases out there.
No shit, but we're talking about albums. People who come from a rock background are more accustomed to albums.
Neither of which are breaks genres
the equivalent would be Pendulum
I don't hate Discovery, it's a great album. I just think Cross is shit. You raised an interesting point about albums.
1. There are loads of better house albums than Cross.
2. Why do we NEED to recommend people albums? If you want to get into dance music you're going to have to listen to singles/mixes at some point. Is it really that difficult?
3. Why are you talking about house in this thread? Why do people on Sup Forums act like electronic music is one thing and not a group of genres?
Recommending Daft Punk, Justice, Jamie XX, etc. every time is not going to give a good idea of what dance music is about.
Most of Sup Forums are 16yo Americans from Nowhere, USA and think music is rock, rap, pop, country and then that electronic stuff.
hey dude you like machinegirl? ive got some more recs of edm for you bruh: try this crazy little 2-piece band called daft punk cuz (they have an album called homework), and when u see how great they are theres a little secret that us 'heads' in the know like to call 'Justice'
I bought Dred Collective's discography on bandcamp a while ago, it's the label she released that under. It's got some pretty good albums.
Americans on Sup Forums today remind me of high school in the 90s in the UK
>she
Fairly sure Machine Girl is a bloke
You people can shit on /bleep/ as much as you want, but at least they actually know what they're talking about when it comes to music. This is one of the most clueless threads I've ever seen.

Breaks are more anime than even regular bleeps you mong
this is why /breaks/ will never work
see you in a few months
I really hate my history teacher; he lectures for like 20-30 minutes and i can't even ask any questions in between. college can't come soon enough
this was a mad tune back in the day
This this this. Lots of uninitiated in here.
not jungle or dnb, but still a fucken sick record
YOU WANNA GET DOWN GET DOWN GET DOWN DOWN DOWN FEELIN KINDA FUNKY KINDA KINDA OOHBY!AH
apart from the zomby release, all of this r such horse shit
this
monstercat was always an interesting label, but once they got mainstream, the quality went down a lot. Bustre was one of their best producers and he left due to reasons.

Fuck that shit. Oldschool and Revivalists all the way.
what language do u think that is in the op picture mate
Oldschool is good as well, but sometimes the newer stuff is insane. Mefjus and kasra just released a nice single in conversion with a great vinyl on critical, and noisia remixed their songs in an insane remix package.
