To me, no other game will come close to the nostalgia I feel for the first Grandia game.

I still have a functioning SNES and play X2 every few years. Games are so shit now. Like Im glad things like PUBG exist but the complete feeling of games like these is lost in the age of microtransactions and dlc/updates

My dad would always pull up a chair next to his when he played this, I can credit this game to teaching me basic reading and math, basicallyshortly after learning to read I would play this on my character sheet and had to sound everything out as I went.
Always tried being competitive against my dad when I played.
Maybe 5-7 years ago when I was moving my stuff into storage we found the old emachine with Windows 95 on it, fired it up, and everything was still where we left it.

I use to play this constantly. Get high and play against the cpu all day trying to beat my best time on the highest difficulty. I recently seen speed runners and I think I could've competed if not beat their times.
I could beat the highest difficulty without dying pretty easily.
