Post 10/10 moments that made you fall in love with an album.

>that part in King of Carrot Flowers Part 2&3 where it gets loud and noisy as fuck

For me it was when The Fool kicked in.

>Pic related
In the first track near the end when the whole band chants "I LIKE DOGS MUCH BETTER"

Didn't take much. The transition from Wake Up Mr. West to Heard 'Em Say. And it just kept getting better and better after that. This album is a godsend

The moment the piano starts over the yelling of "WALK ALL OVER YOU" I knew I was in for a treat

When I heard this album entirely for the first time, I lost track of how many moments came that made me fall in love with it more and more. By the time it was done I knew it'd be one of my favorite albums for a long time. Here are some moments:

>The entire first track
>that part in King of Carrot Flowers Part 2&3 where it gets loud and noisy as fuck
>"Can't believe how strange it is to be anything at all…"
>Holland 1945 trumpets
>ghost. The entire fucking song.
>When the drums come on in untitled I get goosebumps which last till the entire song is done.

Goddamn I love this album so much. It's one of the few records in my playlist which is somewhat life affirming and not depressing af. And it makes me feel less cynical. Not sure how to explain why or how but I feel more of an empathetic, happy and appreciative person after it is done. Less snarky and cynical.

This album has alot of 10/10 moments
>When cygnus transfers into Con safo
>Lvia Bridge
>Beginning of Cassandra Gemini
>End of Cassandra Gemini
>TWENTY FIVE SNAKES POUR OUT YOUR EYES
>THIS NEVER HAPPENED
The List goes on

>when the "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" comes in on Untitled

Song against sex

SET ME ON FIRE

>Has the dawn ever seen your eyes?

The intro to Sleeping Bear, Sault Ste. Marie. Really like how the swelling organ/oboe chords give way to the relaxed guitar, and when the virse starts I get this wave of calm washing over me. It's so...nice.

>From the crossroads of my doorstep my eyes start to fade
>And I turn my head back to the room where my love and I have laid
>And I gaze back to the street, the sidewalk, and the sign
>I'm one too many mornings and a thousand miles behind

4th favorite song on the album, but this verse was what hooked me for good.

This makes me wan't to listen to it again, it never gets old for me

>The panting and crying at the end of Jordan Minnesota.

When untitled goes apeshit

Album name?

Spoken like someone who isn't old enough to be on Sup Forums yet

The VHS click at the end of Svefn-G-Englar

>I'm not here, this isn't happening
>The slight feedback on the vocals in The National Anthem
>The entire In Limbo holy fuckkkk
>I'll see you in the next liiiiiiiiife

so many more moments on this album but i'm lazy

>This is really haaaAApening

ITAOTS is basically one "moment" after another. Especially the first few tracks. here's my favourites:
>As we would lay and learn what each others bodies were for
>accordion comes in

>each one a little more than HE COULD DARE TO TRYYYYYYY

>mangums voice meddling with the droning sound in the background as he sings "Chriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiist"

>the moment the singing saw starts on the title track

>trumpet solo on the same track

>goooldaline my deeear, we will fold and freeeeeze together far away from here, there is sun and spring and green forever
i n s t a n t e r e c t i o n

>ambient intro to static
>Broken windows, locks of love
>the ending to antennas to heaven
Don't care if it's pleb this album is beautiful

>pretty standard but cool sounding power pop
>third song comes in with the noisiest intro ever and the drummer and the bassist just go hamwild on that track
>halfway through a fucking crescendo begins revolving around another wall of noise
>crash cymbal x3
>everyone stops for a moment
>straight into the chorus

>They don't sleep on the beach anymore

The end of the second and the beggining of the third track.

Also Steve Vai.

Nouns - Still Bummed

Deathkamp Drone

>THE OCEAN FLOOR IS HIDDEN FROM YER VIEWING LENS

>>Holland 1945 trumpets
This, the trumpet solo in in Communist Daughter, and "In my dreams you're alive and you're crying" are literal perfection
The amount of euphoria I feel when I listen to this album is great

>I BURN LIKE A WITCH IN PURITAN TOWN
>WELL BITE YOUR PLATE AND BREAK YOUR TEETH
>Before the garden. When you were all alone. You made the atom. Was that some sort of inside joke
>All of 451
>Batter Up slowly fading out each instrument until silence as if the bands slowly dying

>And all my friends were vampires
>Didn't know they were vampires
>Turns out I was a vampire myself
>In the devil town

Multiple parts. The ones that come to mind are
>"we sing nothing now! Our mothers ask us how" with the female vocals in the background singing the main hook, and the guitars going frantic
>"Youuuu FUCK LIKE A RACEHORSE"
>"The soldiers (soldieeeeeEEERS) areee coming"
>The keychange in O' Jarhead O' Wife! "AND WHEN WE PULL OUT OF EACHOTHER"
>"IIIIII ATE THE WHOLE RIVER"
"AND I ASKED HER: WHERE SHE PUT THE BONES?"

Or the slow part in Way where the screaming comes in, and there's so much gain in it, and it sounds so heartbreaking.

Fuck, forgot picture

Those last two movements are perfect. Goosebumps every time

>When Daniel breaks down and just starts sobbing in the middle of Careless Soul
>The baby crying throughout the closing track
>SATAAAN! SATAAAN! SATAAAN!

>You're gonna run, it's alright
>Everybody does

>The post-rock vibe on Vessels

>SOMEBODY'S LISTENING AT NIGHT WITH THE GHOSTS OF MY FRIENDS WHEN I PRAAAAAAY
>ASKING "WHY DID YOU LET THEM LEAVE AND THEN MAKE ME STAAAAAAY?"

>tfw she's a lesbian

I'M DUMB SHE'S A LESBIAN, I THOUGHT HAD FOUND THE ONE

Sleep is full of moments
>"they don't sleep anymore on the beach"
>the ending of Monheim
>the trumpets
>the last 3 minutes

>the second half of bulldozer

Love the slide guitar in that bit

I KNOW THAT I'LL BE HAPPIER
AND I KNOW YOU WILL TOOOOOO

Top 3 off it?
Mine would be
1. when the ship comes in
big gap
2. restless farewell
3. with god on our side

I'm having a 6 month break from this album because I'm going to Amsterdam next year and want to listen to it there and for that to be orgasmic (pretty cringe and gay ik). Reading through these are giving me withdrawals jesus christ
