I'm sad that no more olympic ice skating lolis will be on display. But glad that I can get back to watching football.

Also glad for rainstorms to begin, but sad to lose snow.

I do miss the thunder and lightning

>Also, does anyone know about marketing books for the antisocial?
You mean to try and run a business of sorts but not wanting to interact with idiots?

Pretty much. I understand nothing of marketing or promotion. From what I see, it's just sit on social media and endlessly repost the same shit fifty times an hour.
Like the banana, but not funny.

...

Well that doesn't involve physically interacting with people, just post stuff and generally ignore responses like most corporate internet faces.

I'd go with a website and maybe a few of the platforms, just update as needed and that is it. I have no interest in facebook, snapchat, discord, etc. so not really a good advice giver.

Well, have (free) website, can't put much money aside to change that with a new baby in house and a few other things. Trying twitter as we speak but my word, that place is terrible.

just post on the platforms to announce whatever is needed, but don't get into trying to respond to everyone individually.

That's the easy bit. Usually nobody to respond to.

...

well, then gotta wait until people start buying whatever it is. Getting a semi-famous follower could help.

Well barring that, at least there are comfy threads.

>at least there are comfy threads
a good reason to wake up. Easily my favorite kind of thread anywhere.

...

One of the only reasons I come here anymore.
Also one of the few social interactions I enjoy.

Nice

...

...

same here. not big on relationships. hate drama kinda shit and having to be relied upon. Sup Forums is great because nonoe of that exists. Just wish there were more than porn/homo/spam threads on Sup Forums.

Sometimes it's about the diamonds in the rough instead of the rough itself.
I turn off and keep writing my fantasies while updating my site now and then. I always have nice sounds going though.

If this had a good separator and comfier chair, i'd be okay with staying there. I like having everything all compact and cozy.

...

Only like compact thing inside if I have a very large isolated area outside.

...

yeah, i'd agree that makes it even better.

Also to live without light pollution.

view from my balcony in the evening when the weather is good - i enjoy evenings watching clouds pass or the moon rise very much

in summer i lie on the roof just over the railing of my balcony and stargaze

very relaxing

A shame we don't get to se what most of human history saw every night. I grew up wondering why anyone cared about constelations and north star, etc. Really got to know what i missed when the power in the whole area was gone for days.

seems very relaxing

Looks pretty nice.
Still dreaming of a middle of nowhere house one day.

...

Did a lot of star gazing when I grew up in Aus and we went off hunting. But haven't done that for 20 years. Also don't live in the southern hemisphere anymore.
Wouldn't mind having a yacht/sea cruiser to sail about and look at the stars.

...

thanks, in summer it feels like a green oasis

ive never even seen the souther hemisphere starfields.

nice that it blocks the other houses well. Lived in places where the houses were 1 meter apart, even in rich areas. Couldn't understand why nobody wanted a yard.

...

Unfortunately no pictures, but I miss it a lot. We had rifles (sometimes bows) and nothing else modern. Just a couple of friends 2 hours walk from the car and 3 hours drive from nearest town.
Unbelievably comfy days.

...

i could not live in a apartment building surrounded by concrete, or even an apartment without a balcony itself.
i'd feel locked in

I'd stay there for a night or two

Would stay forever if I could

...

I had one with a great view that I might go back to, but having to interact with people at my home makes that place not my real home. Home is a place without others and is tranquil and quiet.

...

Where you feel like you're the only one in the world.

looks like my homecountry
heavily edited image but i get the vibe

for me solitude is bliss also, and i enjoy nothing more than going out into the nature to re-energize myself and reconnect
are you by any chance introverted too?

took this pic last summer while cycling around, shows pretty much the town i live in

Makes me miss northern Europe. Because Aus didn't have much in the way of snowy hunting grounds and where I am in Europe.. It's flat.
Haven't had much time in central though.

you in the netherlands?
been there a few times and yes it's very flat there

i'm from Austria

how did you manage to move there?

Yea. Wouldn't mind sharing it with the special someone, but that is about it. Even siblings and friends id rather not have as roomates cause I will find some way to get annoyed by them.

>introverted
ya

Yep. Thought you might be. Only gone through Vienna airport unfortunately. Would like to move to a more mountainous place if I ever get rich enough as an author. Otherwise it's unlikely for now.

nice area. saved for comfy folder.

Move to NL? Was born a dual national, but that was far from easy because the Dutch government doesn't like Dutch people.

Aside from my wife and daughter, all my family lives on the other side of the world. It's a calming thing.

>but that was far from easy because the Dutch government doesn't like Dutch people.
fuck that sounds bad
what were the problems?

just watched a bunch of skiing events. Austria seemed pretty dominant. Not too surprised with those alps.

For those who are interested and want to see fantasy, it's here: ederren.wordpress.com/
I actually get feedback from this place, far more useful than the "like" I usually get.

If you're an expat who lost citizenship, you need to live "non-temporarily" in NL for a year before getting your nationality back. So you have to get a full visa, which is difficult for the law abiding.
Had to wait 2 years for an answer which was meant to take 6 months. Was twice called a fraud by the government over issues which would have been proven if they bothered to read page 2 of my application.
Took a lawyer to finally get it settled.

...

whew lad that sounds infuriating hahha

if you have no money issues, Salzburg is the place to be for huge mountains and high society lifestyle
most expensive place to live in austria

personally i'd prefer a small house surrounded by forest and mountains

beautiful

Almost as infuriating as getting my citizenship at a ceremony for people listed as 'integrated' when I was the only one getting citizenship who could speak a word of Dutch.

To be honest I'd prefer Northern Canada or Scandinavia. Bit more isolated and I've always had Norway in my heart.

Some things like that can be nice.

Its on my list of stuff to read, can you give an idea of how long your stuff on there is right now? If its not too long I can slip it in between large series.

where is this, its amazing!?

I don't actually have the series up there, just extracts from books (5-7 paragraphs or so) and some lore based things.
Some are responses to a 'daily prompt' written in the fantasy's perspective, but that also helps raise traffic.

Not sure but it did remind me a little of Italy

good choices, i always liked canada too.
and if money were no object you can basically live anywhere - dreams.....maybe one day

this was my balcony view last year on vacation at a lake here in austria, i smoked a joint just sitting there inhaling the cool summer air in absolute silence.
pure bliss and comfy to me

ohhh man hahah

Silence is wonderful.
Wouldn't mind having sea access either, whether a cliff on the coast or a river/fjord etc. Sail here and there for fun, travel or fishing and then overlook the whole thing on one side with forest on the other.
There's my dream

Oh, okay that I can get done without problem, bookmarked it for later.

And they wonder why people complain about integration.

i'm rather jelly

Much appreciated user. If you enjoy it, feel free to spread it about etc.
My idea was to build a fan base and spread it like that to help get published. But I'm not good with people so it's been a slow spread.

It does seem quite nice yeah

...

>not good with people
Same here. I interact solidly with 5 or 6 people, some of which do read fantasy so I can let them know at least.

Thanks for that. I can be contacted through there too if need's be.
I only interact with my wife and her family.. My own family only with whatsapp. Partly because they live in Aus

This is fantastic. Windows and bookshelves with some grass to wander around. Just add a bathroom and tiny kitchen with a loft bed and I'm set.

exactly, major streets nearby i also don't need close to my house
i'm a mailman in a rural area/farm area close to where i live and i really enjoy seeing how the people live almost cut off from major cities.

i wouldn't mind going away from all that money and prestige focused society we have become.
just live in a small village or in solitude enjoying live and nature

pic related: where i deliver mail (no filters)

Make an office of it.

There was an old native american saying that roughly was

>in native society, men fish and hunt all day
>women take care of children, cook, do all work
>only white man thinks this needs to be improved upon

Looks beautiful user.
That's why I really hope one day to be a successful author. I don't want to be famous, I only want enough money to have a nice large bit of land to be alone and largely self sufficient on.
What I'd give to be woken by crashing waves and wind whistling through trees over some moron honking his car horn because he feels special, or any other marvels the modern world brings.

don't be, in my experience there's beauty hidden in every town or on every hill
just try it out, grab a camera and take a walk where you never walked before - take it all in.

that's what i usually do when shooting analogue

What this guy says.
Even in flat, over populated NL there are small hilly forests you can escape into for an hour or three.
And on a cold and/or rainy day, nobody goes in them.
Pic very much unrelated.

True. I always have the problem of wishing for the future or happily remembering the past. Need to enjoy the moment more often.
