Great scene, only stupid people didn't enjoy it.

How would beating up a computer program solve anything?

There was no problem. He was following his programming as per the machine race's guidelines.

I always wondered, why would the shitowskis paint the humans as good people in the movie trilogy and then release the Animatrix (The Second Renaissance 1 & 2)? If anything it just shows that the humans were fuckwits who probably didn't deserve to exist anyway. Confusing narrative.

What did he mean by this?

Its just the general rise and fall of empires. Also if you think about it, the machines had basically become what they hated by the start of the first movie.

Sean Connery rejected this role.

I put "ergo" all over one of my essays at college once cause I'd seen this film the night before I wrote it, my tutor gave me a D because she thought the work wasn't mine cause I'd used "ergo" so much.

I took all the uses of "ergo" out and she gave me a B.

Literally nobody says ergo IRL

There are some pretty autistic lads who use it every time they talk.

What did he mean by this?

Consequently

This shot always confused the shit out of me

>First movie
>Neo starts his virtual training
>Le Black Wiseman walks in
>"How's he doing?"
>"We've been at it for twelve hours. The guys a machine!"
>"The guys a machine!"
>A machine
>Machine

What did he mean by this? Is Neo a machine? Why would he betray his own kind? Is this what makes him an anomaly?

Inexorably, Neo performs as if he were a Machine. Ergo, one is lead to believe that the machines programmed him this way, vis-a-vis the one. Concurrently, this does not inexorably invalidate Neos human identity in any form. Ergo, Neo is not a machine.

This is the true beauty of memes.

There is no better way to end my post then with

>What did he mean with his?

(You)'re circumventing the the crux of the issue at hand, so to speak, in all of its respective facets, you utter ignoramus. To put it in a layman's banal and rather colloquial terminology - "You're missing the point".

I took a semester abroad in college, and my European professor spoke the entire fucking semester this way. She exclusively lectured in academic jargon and pointless fucking academic buzzwords. I don't know if this is the standard for Europe, but at my university, the lectures were two and half hours long.

Listening to this pretentious old bag lecture in that ridiculously affected speaking style for 7 hours a week made me want to kill myself daily.

It was a film class. One of the questions for a seminar she assigned was "What is the difference between a movie and a film?" I wish I could make this shit up. Thinking about all the Sup Forums memery on the rankings of Kino > Cinema > Film > Movies > Flicks was the only way I could get through that fucking nonsense.

Matrix is actually really interesting because it refers to the use of matrices for storing data and doing calculations on a computer and the fact that a matrix is a set of boxes that contain numbers, they are trapped, in the same way people in the matrix are trapped.

I have to say, I'm rather proud of this one.
