is that lil peep

You're mom

entombed

an anorexic shih tzu

Dystopia, and Iron Lung.

Earth Crisis.

Probably one of those mid-2000s death/dethcore bands.

Not their biggest fan but job for a cowboy was heavy. That was a very new sound when they debuted.

Lot of heavy, explosive music at that time. Even power metal bands like dragonforce had some explosive sounds.

My guess is that it was a reaction to emo, which was very popular in the mainstream. Cannibal Corpse's "make them suffer" was an amazing example of the metal reaction to emo/screamo.

>Name something heavier than early Bring Me The Horizon

The shits I take on your mom's chest

youtube.com/watch?v=ZgtUHHk30uc

I don't understand why these types of bands are so hated, the music is generally complex as fuck. I forgot Sup Forums is just a rap board now.

RoS always felt so clean and neatly packaged. idk might be my contrarian faggotry but i can't get into it because it's too finely machined

youtube.com/watch?v=ReQmGOF9QME&list=RD0iy1tP68wqc&index=2

youtube.com/watch?v=aSBD2nwDpuc enjoy

I love this era of BMTH, Count Your Blessings 2006 AOTY

>clean
>with that production
I like RoS but nibba you what

here's my pick:

Here's something not gay

>Deicide
>not gay
(You)

How is Deicide gay?

the black dahlia murder, the band they got heavy influences from

...

They're by far one of the shittiest dm bands and benton's a tryhard faggot

I mean yeah the themes are edgy and Benton is very edgy but only a retard takes what they say seriously. I think the guitar work and drums are great. They're a great Florda Death Metal band. Not Death tier but still great.

you cannot find something heavier.

you just cant

youtube.com/watch?v=BzsiLmYl47c

I already did

youtube.com/watch?v=GdnJCOcUQ6o

this shit is ridiculous. it's almost avant-garde

>go to house show
>expect thrash punk
>wonder in on art gallery night
>its a woman jamming spaghettios into her vagina in a strobe light with lasers and someone screaming into a sax
Avant-garde shit is awesome, but this bands vocals reminds me of saetia or i hatemyself

Chopin.
youtube.com/watch?v=-gDinVAmtA0

>twink Oli will nerver piss on you

;_;

metalheads prefer image over actual sound desu

They peaked at Sempiternal. I hope their next album is more heavy than Thats The Spirit and more metal focused.

not gay but he's so fucking cute

Seems to be a kind of innate split in the way people hear aggression/heaviness. There always seems to be this definite line between people who are into tech death and people who are completely opposed. I like tech death and for me, the mechanical feel is part of the aggression. Sounds like combat vibes somehow. High speed physical combat.

For starters: youtube.com/watch?v=FeAZcR0QIZ0

Also, a lot of doom and sludgey amp worship stuff is heavier I'd say:

youtube.com/watch?v=AzWIR4FhBYk

youtube.com/watch?v=4xtxk789Mtc

Also stuff like this is heavier I'd say (though it's not really my fav): youtube.com/watch?v=y8iA8xgeg_Y

Really though, it's all about seacore: vampiresquid.bandcamp.com/album/vampire-squid

...

Basically everything.

Worst FBTMOF album but still fucking awesome.
Definitely their heaviest record.
I miss that band.

even mastodon is heavier than this

earlier bring me the horizon
/thread

>Black Dahlia Murder style post-At The Gates minor scale riffing
>Shitty fry vocals close miced, probably cupped, in order to make up for lack of power in the vocals

Fucking garbage lad.

Derivative. Its unfairly shit on, but it's also nothing special. I think Suicide Season was a little bit better then they dropped off and became a worse verson of Architects.

Their last album was easily their worst. Bad Days and Stay Weird are two of the worst tracks I've ever heard.

The Always Open Mouth > Art Damage > Odd How People Shake > Fear Before

youtube.com/watch?v=AvF9U8UF1jk

I know jazz records heavier than bmth

Imagine being this much of a pleb. Here you go, something that shits on every wannabe death metal band from that era.

youtube.com/watch?v=vO1wlUBZ7Qw

seriously the entirety of bebop is probably heavier than most metalcore

This, fucking plebs

Converge.

bmth get snobbed by metalheadds because not metal enough and hipsters because they're too popular but they have a great discography

I can't believe I listened to this in middle school, it sounds like it's recorded in a tin can

More like other bands were doing the same thing except way better years before they even released music.

>he hasn't heard black metal
kek

this. and its so much more aesthetically pleasant to listen to. i could go on about how its a higher art form, but i dont think ill be convincing anyone

came to post this though. when imworking out or something classic metalcore, nails, and at the drive are great

I liked That's The Spirit.
Maybe I'm just liking more pop music compared to metalcore

I MUST HAVE READ A THOUSAND FAAACEEEEES!

this
youtube.com/watch?v=ALK884T5u2o

bmth has done jazz too prick
youtube.com/watch?v=2HD7EzECN9Q

terrrible.

o shit it's my boi Alex Terrible

You're missing the point here.

We're talking about heaviness and I'm not wrong about those NWOAM bands being heavy. It certainly isn't my favorite sub-genre, but there were some heavy bands from that era. JFAC in particular had a heavy, violent sound that hadn't been done yet.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=k4pGEakHxTQ

Classic

came here to post this

he's old now

youtube.com/watch?v=iVGcRNotCAE

Sure, it's "complex" but that says nothing about the actual quality of the music.

Im not saying i didnt like it but i just prefer the heavier stuff

youtube.com/watch?v=h0B7Z3JERdk

You're dumb. Down tuning your guitar and chugging open notes doesn't make something heavy. lmao@calling JFAC original.

That album was gay

Becauz they're so generic and average

he just stopped straightening his hair

Good god, this is a stupid argument.

You don't have to like a band to admit they'be got a heavy sound. It's not a simple matter of downtuning. It's the way it comes together.

You (or maybe some other user) posted a converge song. Opinions and taste aside, that band wasn't heavier than JFAC. Even as far as more technical bands go, converge isn't heavier than BTBAM.

mah shoe

Oli Syke's fists when he beat his wife

>You're mom
>you are mom

I can assure you that you know nothing of what constitutes complex music if you make this embarrassing claim.

Fuck, meant

I fucking love this album, but the sound comes from them fucking up the recording--that's why it wasn't released for so long. It was entirely unintentional.

No kidding, This might be one of the heaviest albums ever: youtube.com/watch?v=0wgA9L5TN5M

Also, let's not forget about this album: youtube.com/watch?v=SbCt-iXIXlQ&t=353s
