here are a couple projects of mine.
this one is a depressing folksy EP about graveyards, god, and ghosts, recorded with my gf. Its been called 'comfy', 'autumnal', and 'depressing':

First track i've made, any feedback is appreciated
stop drowning your voice in the seas of reverb. and i'm not saying stop singing like that, if it's what you like doin. but don't be afraid to show your voice.
used to do the same thing when i started out btw

Eh, fine for a first effort. Absolutely change the album art.
I like where you're going with the vocals, but right now it sounds way too forced and try-hard.
This song could be good if you retooled it

Work on your vocals, you're constantly flat and/or sharp and nasally. Your bending inflections need to stop unless used tastefully. You sound like a homosexual being fucked in the ass.
i enjoyed this actually. thanks for sharing
a weekend project i made. would love some feedback.

thanks a bunch!
Made this a while ago. I normaly play guitar and sing in a psych-doom band.
I understand where you are going with this, but the sound lacks focus, and mostly seems like jamming without any goal
Do more with your right hand. Learn More than Words so you can dress up simple chords more with basic fingerstyle. This is boring because of the guitar work. Adding more rhythm with the right hand would improve it immensely.
I really enjoyed this guy's work

Here's some shameless self promotion. Told myself I wouldn't shill too much here anymore but if you're askin for bedroom folk I gots it.

Wow...that was nice of them.
Nichard Dixon is pretty good. I suggest checking out his discography
In Sound is probably the best one
Great stuff in this thread. Can anyone share anything about their recording gear?
I have some questions for lo-fi bedroom musicians. What software/equipment do you use for your recordings? How minimal is it?
cheap usb interface with a mic is really all you need. and you can just use a free DAW like reaper or audacity if you really want to be minimal.
I record outdoors on a 2003 thinkpad
im going to start recording with a tascam DR-40. its just a small handheld recorder. have had some good results with it.
so yeah, you can basically just use whatever you want as long as it records sound.
just a yeti

ITT: the worst music in existence
this is some polished material. great work! favorite track is The Sunday Paper.
Thanks! It all feels very rough and shoddy to me so it's reassuring to hear that you'd think that.
guitar hero usb mic pointed towards an amp, in fairness though it has quite a clear sound
Does Bedroom '40s Ballads count?

Astatic 77 directly into a Presto K8, cut on vintage lacquers.
No it doesn't please delete this post.
>More like BOREDOM folk amirite?
this but unironically
Does this mean folk made in a bedroom or folk to fuck to?
I would imagine the first one?
my influence for this was American Primitive but that's folk so... And it was recorded in my bedroom on an iPhone, one take each.
I made my first EP recently. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Lots of good stuff in this thread
