The point of these threads is to encourage people to look for new and interesting music. We do this by listening to and ideally discussing albums we've never heard before. Many of us already listen to new music daily, these people are in it to venture "out of their comfort zone" by listening to albums they otherwise wouldn't have, or just to have a good time.
i didnt comment on these posts last thread but i think it's fantastic

Couldn't find a full copy of the other album so I just added this one for today instead.
It started out with a bunch of fart noises, which made me nervous that it would be crap. It ended up being a bunch of ostinato plus flourishes, with a few cooler outliers. A few tracks totally sucked. (Inocular Part 1, for example, was pure boredom)
Skik was a highlight. Its had more of a focus on melody, which sometimes got eaten by the production but was nicer than the rest overall.
Meh.
Ryder White
Did too many Polish people move to his country or something?
Ayden Adams

What are /daily/'s favorite vocalists? I like some entry level shit like Pavarotti and Brel.
My favorite vocal performance of all time is Catherine Ribeiro on the album "Ame Debout". It has such a wide variety of creative dynamics and power, it's really a treat to experience. youtube.com/watch?v=mHdAKbjh-8c
Kazuki Tomokawa is another fav, also a vocalist that is unyieldingly creative with his performances. Jorge Ben also comes close.
Bobby McFerrin is also among my favorites. I love how he sounds in every register, and I can't name another singer that is as precise as he is.
oh shit i dropped my ^2 thanks for the perfect score

Hi /daily/, can any of you recommend me some good drone? Huge fan of pic rel because of the comfy and warm atmosphere it creates, so perhaps something with field recordings? Open to anything though, really.
Maybe this question doesn't really belong in a /daily/ thread, but I trust you guys' taste a lot more than Sup Forums's in general.

Black in the morning. Espresso/cafe au lait/cold brew in the afternoon
pretty baseline for that kinda gypsy/celtic/cabaret folk punk, doesn't do anything the pogues, flogging molly, the world/inferno friendship society, gogol brodello etc etc don't do. the polka, irish and balkan folk sounds totally blend together. well i like the style anyways, low-ish 3/5 or high 2
The "krautrock" tag feels out of place here, but I understand the confusion in trying to catalogue this. Lonely, cold sounds meandering into space with no direction. It's very detached from humanity, which I always appreciate in works like this: the track titles are literally just the duration of the track, the music doesn't belong to any specific place, and the instruments are so processed you can't understand what's electronic and what's being physically played. I listened to this while drawing Belka and Strelka, the two ussr dogs that got sent into space then back, it was pretty fitting. I also recommend to play this very loud.
