ECM Records coming to streaming services was a big win for me.

mandatory listening

what's the best scale and why is it the D# blues scale?

If i say D# it makes the Eb Blues scale sound intresting

try C minor scale with a flat 5th starting on the ninth and ending on the 3rd

now that sounds good

clifford's best work was ideally with sarah vaughan

flat 6th** my bad

why this nigga got a cane

v good desu desu

I've been looking for this for a while.
Any chance of dropping it in a sharethread?

I've been listening to Andrew Hill's stuff and really enjoying it. I'm fairly new to jazz, where should I go from here?

...

are you talking about playing dorian starting from the ninth because in natural minor you;d end up with a two G's

even with this flat 6 in c dorian you just turn it into a natural minor scale starting on the 9th

hey the bebop soundtrack is good

I meant dorian starting from the 9th yes, I wasn't thinking straight since I had just improvised it over a Cm7, my head was stuck in the word minor.

also meant natural 5th, which would give you the dorian starting on the ninth
