I used to watch with my Dad so I have fond memories of it

>rips off other people's tricks
>tells you how to do them

what exactly was his problem?

I liked it as a kid but I feel like if I watched it today it would be shit

looks edgy

One thing I don't quite get is why does he wear the mask?

It's ok, a good starter if you're clueless about magic.
I prefer Fool us by Penn&Teller.

Works well for seeing how most tricks are performed, like you know the stage girl has extra space and most of the act is deception. But that's for most of your common things.

>perform magic tricks
>get bitches
How does he do it?

AWAKEN, MY MASTERS.

How to perform magic tricks
>Watch the show
How to get bitches
>Pay them

The one on the left had that hnnnnnngggn body

Why does he wear the mask?

He says at the end he was worried magic was becoming stale and he was fucking right. His show was, in part, to dare magicians to come up with new shit.

I love the horny chauvinist narrator. And the guy's mask looks funny.

TELL ME ABOUT THE MAGICIAN!

WHY DOES HE WEAR THE MASK?

LOTTA LOYALTY FOR A HIRED SLUT

Why would I want to spend any time watching some faggot who is too scared to show his face reveal how some other people pretend to make a chick float?

he's a big magician

youtu.be/PHTWJYlGlXc?t=2m43s

He takes his mask off, it's Val Valentino. And it's pretty cool

...

He was getting death threats from other magicians for revealing their tricks

Here are the secrets...

I fucking loved it as a kid. Knowing how the trick is done makes it so much more enjoyable IMO, that's where you get to appreciate how clever it is. If you don't know, it's often just like "well obviously there's a trick to it because magic isn't real," unless the magician is a really fun performer.
Also dat voice over always commenting on the girls.

implying the show isnt a false flag by real wizards.

It was cool when he was revealing really old tricks hack magicians kept relying on but he became a dick near the end revealing brand new tricks.

Pissing Copperfield and Blane off is its own reward.

He's a big guy. Of courshe he wore a mask!

Did they say his death would be extremely painful?

This would be the most memed show on /tv if it came out now.

>lot of people nostalgiaing over this

Watch it again. It was terribly bad. But funny bad.

>But funny bad.
Exactly.

And of course it wouldn't fly today, now we have wikipedia and youtube to show us how it's done.

The greatest wrestler to never win a belt.

I'm gonna try those tricks at home now that I know how the professionals do it!

everything about it is pretty good except for the disappearing elephant and car tricks which rely on the fact that the audience is watching on their tv. It's not really a magic trick if you can't do it live in front of a real audience

YOU'RE THE MAGICIAN'S ASSISTANT IN THEIR DREAMS

>literal who magician
>become "Masked Magician
>get primetime special on FOX
nobody cared who he was until he put on the mask

I only saw the first year of it and then my mom wouldn't let me watch it cause it was on at the same time as something she wanted to watch.

Of course.

>It's not really a magic trick if you can't do it live in front of a real audience
now you know why everyone hates david blaine

>he doesn't know about the 44 days in a box

this. it's fun watching something break things down and show how it's made (or done, in magic's case).

>he didn't see the ice box trick reveal
>laughinggirls.jpeg

I got into stupid fun fights with brothers over how shit was done. Good times.

>>he didn't see the ice box trick reveal
expand on this pls

it's literally a fucking igloo that keeps the heat in.

>I, David Blaine, am going to perform the most boring illusion ever attempted!

The shows format changed in season 2 didn't it?

This is on netflix and the first season is a lot of fun specially at the end telling hacks to do some new shit, but i couldn't get pass the intro of season 2 with long haired faggot that was overly edgy and dramatic abd not in a fun way.

Pretty sure it was just to make money and fuck other magicians over.

So if this mask, that conceals his identity, were to be removed, he would most likely die, you say?

He's a magic guy

That's bullshit because at the end of the first season, he shows his face and he is some spic. Fantastic isn't it, spics stealing jobs now magic tricks.

Well his plan was to crash their careers.

>his plan was to crash their careers
WITH NO SURVIVORS

Yeah he really burned some magicians with this. At least the fire rises.

Bet this dude lives in Red Roof Inn and shows truckers hand tricks

Was this show really controversial or was it just hype? How's his career these days?

he revealed how that trick was done. he had a body double come in every so often, and he was just chilling right below the actual ice. it was pretty clever, but it was also a dumb stunt that has no place in magic. typical blaine shit.

IF I PULL I OFF WILL HE DIE??!?

So damn comfy and fun to leave on in the background.

Nobody cared who he was until he put on the mask

...

>OH MY GOD GUYS WE'RE GOING TO SHOW YOU HOW TO VANISH A TRUCK!!!
>You pay a bunch of extras to pretend that they can't hear the truck driving away behind the curtain

jeez I never could have guessed that for myself

Penn & Teller do it better

youtube.com/watch?v=_PoDhuIp3I0

It was great. The only interesting part of magic tricks is their explanation because it demonstrates a surprising and inventive application of physics for creating illusions.

It's the show that got me to like magic to begin with.

DUDE MIRRORS LMAO

thats the "Skin Man" to you, kid.

I'm more impressed by slight-of-hand
