Hear me out, but I've always kinda disregarded this song because it never really caught my attention, listened to the rest of their discography a lot, but skipped past this a bit.
I just started listening to it and the lyrics, and tied in with how popular and accessible it is, it kinda made me sappy feeling.
"And we don't know
Just where our bones will rest
To dust I guess
Forgotten and absorbed into the earth below"
And the music video is just being a kid/teen and doing things you'll never get to do again when you get older or idk how old I am I guess.
Made me really sad user.
It's a beautiful song I guess.
I didn't even link it.

Kishi Bashi is great - found him accidentally whilst stumbling for new music.
Reggie makes all kinds of beautiful music I wish he was a "real" group that didn't just shit this stuff out but actually released studio quality albums of sound like this
its a cliche but i love it nonetheless

You can check it out on Spotify. Celer is highly underrated.

Mulatu Astatke - Tezeta (Nostalgia)
This song will put you in a trance in the best way possible.
>5 billion people with access to youtube
>7.5 million views
for all intents and purposes, it is underrated
oh my god
thank you for this
heres my favorite celer track

I don't listen to classical, but I'm sitting here speechless after it ended. It's shockingly beautiful.

Growing pains and empty days
Records played and certain shades of blue
remind me still of you
i feel bad for you user
I haven't heard this one. So thank you, user. It's fucking amazing. Sounds like a woman singing at the far end of a glass corridor.
omg i know right, i like to picture a lit up carousel in an abandoned mall
I listen to other ambient music but none of them have been able to invoke imagery they way Celer can.

This is one of my favorites.
>when the harp finishes the strings' decent
My phone is pitch black and blends into the darkness of my bedroom. So when that blue logo fades in its like some stargate just hovering there. With the music it becomes a surreal blend of childhood experiences, half life atmospheres and melancholy. I may or msy not have drunk one too many
lmao at this thread
why
Fuck people that thinks Swans its "le dark/le noisy"

Bad examples, Love Will Save You is still kinda dark and Helpless Child is soul-crushing
Blood Promise live or Song for the Sun would be better

I'd also say A Piece of the Sky, but I already posted it
These three just fucking kill me

those songs elicit such incredibly strong bittersweet feelings and memories. i fucking hate that they are so short
>Richard Wagner - Lohengrin Prelude
youtube.com
>The Beach Boys - Surf's Up (I prefer the album version, but there's something really special about this one)
youtube.com
>David Bowie - Quicksand
youtube.com
>A Silver Mt. Zion - 13 Angels Standing Guard 'Round the Side of Your Bed
youtube.com
>Nick Drake - Northern Sky
youtube.com
>John Cale - Andalucia (Paris 1919 is filled with beautiful songs)
youtube.com
>Nico - Afraid

Damn, these bring back memories. I saw the film when I was at a real low-point in a pretty shitty relationship I had, and the music from it always brought up such bittersweet feelings within me. Hard to listen to now that that relationship only just recently ended. Phone Call is another really beautiful song from the soundtrack.
I been listening to all the songs in the tread that I hadn't previously heard and I gotta say I like this one best. Compositionally it comes across like classic slowcore (pretty beautiful on its own) but the horn arrangement is just sublime. Warm, glittering, tonally expansive
I'm gonna have to be honest here.

Years later, that ending has me leaning back and just closing my eyes to listen as it fades.

Do you remember when the first snowfall fell? This is the shit that makes me cry. Not "let me sing sad depressive lyrics overemotionally and strum my acoustic guitar along to it" crap.
youtube.com
Real good shit right here lads, need me a british girl who talks like this
