Someone explain to me how a subscription to HBO is more expensive than a subscription to Netflix or Amazon Prime

Someone explain to me how a subscription to HBO is more expensive than a subscription to Netflix or Amazon Prime.

It's been around longer than the other two.

HBO Nordic doesnt even have young pope or mr robot s2

I pay 10€ per month for shit 720p

If i were a murikan, id pay for all the amazons and huluzoids

>paying for things
ExpressVPN + pirate bay solves all problems

>the only way to stream 1080p on a PC is to use internet explorer on windows 10
>literally no other way
FUCK HBO

GoT

Amazon in particular gives you not just the movies and TV shows, but music streaming, free shipping, podcasts, photo storage, discounts on video games, and free shit from Twitch. All that is five dollars a month less than a subscription to HBO.

Its because HBO delivers real qualitiy in most cases.

Many of their classic shows that would be subscription sellers are already on Amazon Prime. The Sopranos, The Wire, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Oz, and Six Feet Under are all on Prime.

On average maybe but they have a fair share of turds too

Game of Thrones. If it wasn't for game of thrones Time Warner would be bankrupt. Time Warner makes something stupid like half its money from HBO and most people that pay for HBO pay for it so that they can watch game of thrones.

meanwhile I just download my shit. and I fucking hate game of thrones. Time warner can eat my man pussy.

First run movies too.

Mr. Robot is an HBO show in your country? It doesn't even had nudity.

This

Rami shows his little frog butt in one episode.

you're suppose to use a vpn on piratebay?

oh shittt

Let's break it down shall we? For this exercise I'll be comparing the original programming of Netflix vs the original programming of HBO. I won't be including Amazon Prime because fucking nobody has Amazon Prime. I'll be using five different criteria, god tier, great tier, good tier, decent tier, and shit tier.

>Netflix
GOD TIER
*crickets*

Great tier
>Narcos
>Bloodline

Good tier
>Bojack Horseman
>Stranger Things
>Orange is the New Black
>Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life
>The OA
>Grace and Frankie
>Daredevil
>Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Decent tier
>House of Cards
>Hemlock Grove
>Marco Polo
>The Get Down
>The Crown
>A Series of Unfortunate Events
>Jessica Jones
>Luke Cage
>Easy
>F Is for Family

Shit tier
>Sense 8
>Love
>Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp
>W/ Bob & David
>Fuller House
>Flaked
>The Ranch
>Haters Back Off
>One Day at a Time
>Master of None

Now compare this to HBO

GOD TIER
>The Sopranos
>The Wire
>Deadwood
>Luck
>Vinyl
>Band of Brothers
>Curb your Enthusiasm
>Rome
>Eastbound & Down
>True Detective Season 2
>The Life & Times of Tim
>Flight of the Conchords
>The Larry Sanders Show
>Summer Heights High
>Generation Kill
>Show Me a Hero

Great tier
>Mr. Show with Bob and David
>The Pacific
>Hello Ladies
>The Leftovers
>Enlightened
>The Corner
>Oz
>The Night Of
>How to Make it in America
>Vice Principals
>Ballers
>Entourage

Good tier
>Family Tree
>Bored to Death
>The Young Pope
>Big Love
>Boardwalk Empire
>Extras
>Getting On
>Silicon Valley
>Veep
>True Detective Season 1

Decent tier
>Hung
>Doll & Em
>Real Time with Bill Maher
>Westworld
>Sex and the City
>The Comeback
>Cucky Louie
>Looking

Shit tier
>Arliss
>The Brink
>Togetherness
>Life's Too Short
>Game of Thrones
>High Maintenance
>Divorce
>Insecure
>Girls
>Animals
>Every Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons
>Last Week Tonight with John Oliver

As you can see Netflix and HBO are pretty equal when it comes to decent to shit tier series but not at all when it comes to god tier brand defining series.

>fucking nobody has Amazon Prime.
Rich people do. It's very popular with wealthy Americans.

its spectrum now

At least half of the shows in God Tier are on Amazon Prime as well.

Half is not all.

>Luck
Truly seemed on it's way to being God Tier. But if it wasn't the horse deaths that did, being unforgiving on the jargon would have eventually done it in.

Maybe we watched a different show but Luck was god tier from the very first episode.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>Vinyl
>God Tier

come on son

>Vinyl
>Not God Tier

Okay pleb

I usually don't rate a show "God Tier" unless it's complete.

That's when I started thinking it was a troll.

It wasn't imo

there was something there but it was lacking, possibly could have gotten there with more seasons

I'd personally swap The Leftovers and Vinyl in your list but thats just me

I'd argue that Luck is more complete then both Deadwood and Rome, not necessarily better though.

>muh baby boomer throwback

It's horribly generic

Game of Motherfucking Thrones

>older brother lets me use one of the profiles on his netflix account because why not, the whole family is on one account that costs chump change every month
>watch whatever I feel like on netflix because it's convinient on my PS3 and the interface is GOAT
>torrent everything else

Just ask someone you know if you can have a profile on their account, maybe offer to chip in $2 a month or something.
