Thanks dude!
They were mostly recorded in FL Studio using really simple and cheap gear. Various fuzz and delay pedals, an SG guitar, a small Peavey combo amp (which I managed to turn into drone metal with tons of afterwork in FL).
Most of the noises were made with feedback loops, plugging the mixer output to one of the inputs, then twisting the knobs randomly, maybe using delay. Also, contact microphones distorted to absolute maximum.
Overall, it's a pretty orthodox and generic way to make harsh noise, the only twist here is that it has some melody. The key is layering tracks on top of each other.
As for the Underscore & Shum album I just recorded a bunch of field recordings, wall noise and shit that could go into an ASMR video then I sent them all to Underscore who did the dirty work

wtf did i get myself into
i'm ok with the drums, but oh man do the voices ever grate. i wish i knew what the point was, i like the chaos, but not huge on the amount of filtering, especially on track 3. had high hopes for the closer, but the bass end left a lot to be desired.
i listened to amen shts vol 2 btw
