Can you suggest some lively electronic music like The Prodigy or The Chemical Brothers. I wanted to delve into depths of electronic music, but it's mostly either sterile IDM bleeps(BoC, Autechre) or boring EDM. Is everything so bad with electronic music?
Electronic music that isn't fucking soulless

Curious. I actually think that electronic musicians like The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers are souless, boring and uninteresting and that IDM like Autechre and Boards of Canada is pretty great in general
terminal stockholm syndrome and contrarianism
Le funny bleep circles
>muh SOUL muh FEELING
You sound like a teenager commenting on a Metallica music video about how music sucks nowadays
shoo shoo right generationer. shoo shoo

Irony is the lowest for of wit.
Daft Punk
Anything techno from the 90's not on album format.
This is all i'm going to say.
Aphex Twin is a cliche answer, but his music is pretty human for a IDM artist.
>op asks for big beat
>suggest him techno
you shouldn't have said anything tbqh
youtube.com
But big beat came from aci...
Never mind.
she, Shpongle, Daft Punk, Floating Planet, SEXY-SYNTHESIZER, Ronald Jenkees
Do you suggest punk rock to people looking for math rock?
Techno and Big Beat in the 90's was like Speed and Thrash metal, unless it was something really left-field they were almost interchangeable.

Not a producer, be he puts together some great mixes from a wide variety of electronic music genres. I've found some amazing artists from his sets. My favourite is J.A.C.K, but as far as having "soul" it's hard to go past the glitch mob. All of their tracks are like a journey.
the "all mainstream music is techno music" meme was a thing only in america
Honestly couldn't get into glitch mob specifically because I found it so soulless... Just goes to show its all about taste.
I'd rec Jon Hopkins Immunity tho

no, he's absolutely correct

Anything French has a whole lot of life in it. Daft Punk's early stuff. Fucking JUSTICE man, if you want to hear a live album that blows your fucking head off look no further. Busy P and his Ed Banger Records artists are gods.
Crystal Castles two first albums

The Crystal Method is probably something you would like.
Caribou - Swim
A Guy Called Gerald - Hot Lemonade

GOAT
Anything by More Garson honestly. Plantasia
You could argue this is still pretty soulless music but it's objectively good
Mort Garson
except for a handful it's all very very similar.
>sterile IDM bleeps(BoC, Autechre)
I can understand Autechre being seen as sterile as that's their entire schtick, machine music in its extreme. But BoC? They have some of the most evocative melodies in all of electronic music and a lovely, warm enveloping analog sound. I think BoC have a more soulful approach to music than a million sampletronica bands like Chem Bros and The Prodge.
Agreed
Death Grips ia a Dark Souls of modern Prodigy-like bands. Try it.
wtf
Someone always has to bring up Death Grips no matter what
Look for breakbeat
Listen to The Plateaux of Mirror, of the fucking Ape of Napples and try to say that electronic is souless you momg.
because fashion week is a straight up instrumental electronic music album with bangers so they totally apply to this conversation
Panama, Classixx and Rüfüs are all great OP

Define "music that isn't fucking soulless" because its such a vague word.
You might like this one; Not EDM trash and not IDM
