the vocals arent quite my thing, but with a little work they could be. but that flow, that beat, damn son. i fuckin dig it. keep at that shit the melodies/vibe are great imo, maybe just a bit of tightening up needed. change ur drum kit sounds tho, too homogeneous and cheap sounding --------------------------------------------------------- dayzie.bandcamp.com >lofi pop >kinda twinkly >sadcore So this is the FIRST PROJECT ive ever had the balls to upload. Really need some feedback, please. its hard to tell if you suck or not when youre working in a vacuum.
ANY FEEDBACK AT ALL WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. BRUTAL HONESTY, PLEASE. thx guys
I don't like the way you mixed your voice, way too much mouth noise, I feel like I'm listening to asmr, although I think that was your intention. The instumental is very pretty.
I guess it's kinda catchy but not really my genere
Fuck yea Im a sucker for this kind of shit, I think you could keep your drums a bit quieter but other than that great work (listened to Layup) also it's a tad bit repetitive.
Now my turn, this is an unrelased track that 2 friends of mine recorded, I'm mixing it so I'm mainly looking for feedback on the mixing, it's >Progressive >Jazz >Metal with >Electric Guitar and Bass >Vocals >Ezdrummer because recording drums is hard
Don't know man, It's not even that bad but you voice is so fucking drowned in the guitar i can barely make it out, you need to learn a bit about mixing. Also mastering, an acustic voice+guitar song shouldn't be as overcompressed as an edm banger.
I like the melodies, the drums don't it nearly hard enough for my taste, the mix is overall a bit muddy, I like reverb too but if you put it on everything it makes it harder to differentiate the sound, I'd set the reverb differently for every instument. Nice arrangement thoiugh, and the children playing fx is a nice touch.
I don't know if it's your amp settings or your playing but the guitar solo feels very stiff at the beginning, try to play a bit more with dynamics.
what are some good beginner's music communities? I've just started posting my own music after composing for a while, but I'm not sure clogging up Sup Forums with ms-paint equivalent music is the best course of action.
I like Crying emoji apart from the title - the song starts out comfy, even if bit too familiar/derivative, but the screamy part saves it, it gains a good amount of soul there, all in all a good little song imo
plz respond is interesting because it's generally quite off-key (which might be intentional), but some of the high notes in the vocals are unexpectedly precise, which is really neat. also, the lofi aesthetic of the vocals clashes nicely with the 808-style drum beat, it gives the track some space mix-wise
desu has an interesting guitar riff which sadly doesn't really go anywhere, it's honestly the most unremarkable song on the release, but it's a comfy listen anyways
cd emoji is all over the place in a good way, but the guitar is badly out of tune and here the drums clash with the sound in a bad way. I like the direction you're going with the song and the textures, but a piece of advice I got a long time ago is if you want to do simple, you can't be sloppy.
nah thanks for the crits man, i really appreciate them
on the vocals on plz respond - ive been meaning to go back and rerecord them because those are the first pass - i record and write very quickly out of fear that ill forget the idea that got me to sit and record in the first place
t.bh and cd emoji need to be re-recorded because the pc i made them on was lost in a house fire lol. they were before i knew about quantizing as well
again, thanks dude, this is all sound advice and i appreciate it. gonna work on it
Dominic Foster
yeah man keep at it, it's good stuff all in all, worth improving upon

youtu.be/J5aQoJ_dy0U some ambient/chill stuff I made last week. Got an album on my channel too, any feedback would be appreciated
i feel out of my depth trying to critique it lol, but it sounds professional, for sure. Writing/recording quality/mixing wise. My only input is that it sounds just a little tooo clean, but im sure thats just a personal preference of mine, and intentional on your part
Caleb Morales
yeah I see what you mean, my previous record had a bit more grit, maybe that's what you'd prefer more. thanks for the input!
Any tips, criticism, links to video that might help me learn to produce better shit.

Im thinking about making a whole cover album of disintegration by the cure and release it on the 30th anniversaury. I got all the midi for drums and keyboards and im gonna mix it by comparing it to the originals until it sounds just right. Ill keep you guys posted as things come along

I like a lot of the ideas! I think, that make your sounds a little more nuanced would do you a lot of good, right now it sounds a touch too obvious. >soundcloud.com/markdavidchapman/diskko-jokkie
this disturbs me in a good way. Obviously that's the intention. liked the glitch-y vibe to it all.
Sup boys feed feed back on this cut, will return feedback on sound cloud soundcloud.com/ssay10/plastic-quickie >industrial >experimental >hip hop instrumental Reccs
Liked your dark ambient vibe, fllowed you on Youtube VERY LIIIIIGHT! I loved percussion on 'Rymdvägen Till Tropikerna' and overall synths choices. Also sample loop on 'Happy Hour' is fucking awesome
also forgot >noise rap >lofi-bedroom-acoustic shit

`i like play guitar` - funny skit `i don't like shit but i still go outside` - `introspection` - hell of a beat you have here, it's dope, yet your mic is a very cheap one, it too noticeable `fake is new real` - it's good, reminds of Oasis / Blur
