>the virgin less paul >muh tonewoods >it's heavy, for a real man (but lets make it shorter so your baby hands can play it) >neck attached by fucking glue
>the alpha chadocaster >a cool looking piece of wood that makes music >scale length built for adult hands that grab you by the pussy >neck fucking bolted on with metal
>the autistic prs >w-we bake our shit and take a month to build a neck >it's not flamed, it's curly >shit strats are better anyway, thanks John
Can anyone help me troubleshooting my amp? The power lights is lit and it sounds like normal (subtle humming), but none of the valves are glowing. Fuses seem ok from what I can see.
Are the tubes bad or is it something else? Amp is a Marshall DSL401 (later version without overheating isaues)
telecasters are the defacto session guitarist guitar.
most guitars sound pretty much like: a guitar. some have more spank and twang than others, and that's the most prominent differentiation between guitar sounds.
so with a tele you can sound like almost anything, since you can just roll off the spank and twang with tone and volume.
also, they're as simple as an electric guitar gets, which is a benefit in durability, reliability, maintenance.
Ya but I actually know what I am talking about and you are pretending. Silent pickup setting. What are you even trying to say? Look it up learn the terms and come back. Silent pickup settings? Fucking idiot. Are you talking about the hum canceling positions of 2 and 4 that sound like out of phase trash?
Justin Moore
they both exist in that they are two seperate marketing terms to describe the same figuring
Gabriel Gutierrez
You obviously understood what I was saying
>one of the most iconic clean sounds in history >sounds like trash
2/10. Also the 2 and 4 positions aren't out of phase you retard.
Brayden Thomas
You are correct. I was thinking quilt.
Liam Bennett
But telecaster is hideous and doesn't come with humbucker in default
Im better at guitar than you. I know more than you. It isnt iconic its recognizable and cliche. There is a difference. Telecaster is the most recorded guitar for good reason. There is no issues with noise. Its a studio stable. Wanna sound like hendrix or pearl jam, buy a strat and be a one trick pony. Im a jazz head and can shred your ass off all with my telecaster.
Gavin Green
>Telecaster is the most recorded guitar for good reason its literally just older than the rest it's trash m8 just admit it
Logan Campbell
cool. Play your dire straits, pearl jam and hendrix covers in your faggot basement.
Connor Cooper
Post a clip of your playing.
>Im a jazz head
Hey me too. Care to improvise over a backing track? I'll record over the same track too. Bet you won't ;)
Maybe you can record on your historic 59 Les Paul.
all guitars are literal trash. I can play so i dont play these guitar fag games. I play a 2x4 with a pickup just to shove it up peoples asseswhen I slay live. youtube.com/watch?v=HAWOboDuYkI Ive owned over 100 guitars. They are all the same shit. Tele pickups just cut better in mixes. Its not rocket science.
Jonathan Jackson
Sure post the track no problem. Ill even use a 2x4 with a p bass pickup installed just to shove it up your ass.
Put aside my shitposting about the humbuckers, tele headstock is objectively ugly
Hunter Evans
Hows about a song with actual changes. I dont want to hear your wanky blues licks and. All the tings you are. A big boy song. Agreed? youtube.com/watch?v=iyHDHYrdWPs
thats fucking weird. i love it. (smaller strat headstock looks better on tele)
Elijah Wood
>come up with a cool riff >it's too good for my usual playing, start feeling like I stole it and just don't remember from where >don't want to ask people online in case I actually did come up with it and someone takes it >people I can ask face to face don't know shit about music and wouldn't recognize Seven Nation Army if I played it to them should I just keep writing around the riff?
yeah, everybody takes inspiration from something. If you keep worrying about that you will never write a song.
Landon Morales
special delivery of some hot jazz. Got anything actually hard to play over? This stuff is kinda first year. vocaroo.com/i/s1kfnz9wtPDd
Gabriel Thomas
nice chops man. though recording sounds like ass and you need more control of your phrasing, articulation, and tone imo. still pretty good
Kevin Jones
What did you use to record that shit? Jesus christ
Evan Young
probably his microwave
Levi Brown
Tone is a meme
Chase Cruz
very good ideas, but the recording quality is so bad that I can't tell anything about how you play.
Jacob Rodriguez
I'm a beginner who's about to buy his first electric guitar, most likely a telecaster, but I won't be able to afford an amp before several months later. Will it sound loud and good enough even without an amp or do I need to buy something else?
Asher Ross
I honestly don't know how to tackle this issue since i can't find anything online. Can any of you guys play lead guitar with long sleeves? i just feel like my hand gets uncomfortable and my arm slips, so i have to roll up my right sleeve, but i look like a faggot. Is this an issue for anyone else? can i do something besides using t shirts?
you're not supposed to cook your hot pocket while recording
Ayden Smith
get yourself a multimeter and this will answer all your questions. can prob rent one for real cheap at a local hardware store
Hudson Rogers
very good, but your computer mic is a pos. it sounds like you are hitting the strings with a crowbar and zero dynamics, but I can't tell if it's from you or the mic. I heard it complete, though, very good
well at least we solved the tone debate. Its all about the mic.
Dominic Gray
Nigga you need something to amplify that. Not only is part of the fun in guitar experimenting with tone but you are going to pick up bad habits and small mistakes since you won't hear them unplugged. Then when you think you're good you'll ask to play with your friends amp and have all the notes ringing and everyone will say that you fucking suck and that they were wrong in considering you for their band, and laugh when you leave. i-its a friends story
>Will it sound loud and good enough short story yes and it depends on your pickin technique
Mason Bell
Yep, and the mic aint shit without a gold plated cable
Hunter Gonzalez
>student level guitars are exclusively used by poo in loos
Can someone ban this retard already
Christopher White
I roll up my right sleeve on purpose
Levi Moore
>student level guitars are exclusively shilled by poo in loos ftfy
Nolan Miller
Buy a super cheap nylon acoustic to learn the basics on while save up for at least a Squier with an amp. No point in playing electric without amp, and you shouldnt buy random/cheap walmart guitar& kit. Better to save up for something that ou can use for a while.
You are a fucking pleb. Teles are the most beautiful guitars and they sound and RECORD great, that's why the studio guitarist use them. Even "muh les paul" Jimmy page did record with them.
Matthew Rivera
Looks great mate. How does the P90 sounds there?
Jason Miller
>maxresdefault.jpg
Elijah Rivera
blackmore was the ultimate chadlord ask any deep purple or rainbow member and he played strats only
Camden Robinson
that archtop looks anime af
Carter Bennett
The Stairway to Heaven solo, the greatest solo in the history of rock music, was played on a Tele.
Hudson White
>try to write a guitar solo >talent instantly regresses 10 years
AAAFGHSDSD WHY IS THIS HARD
Parker Bennett
>actually writing solos instead of improvising lame Stairway to Heaven solo was improvised.
Tyler Howard
>hideous Objectively wrong
>humbucker Objectively gross
Colton Gray
What did you do to your guitar today /gg/? I put on a set of staggered locking tuners, removed the string trees, clean and oiled up the board, put on a fresh set of 10s (tried some 11s, nice tension, felt too thick and cumbersome), set her up with a floating trem.
Xavier Foster
>staggered tuners >removed string trees Fucking patrician. Enjoy your increased tuning stability. I hope you're lubricating your nut and saddles.
Logan Jones
You're sleeve shirt might be too loose? If that's the case buy smaller shirts bruh.
With button downs shirts though I always roll the sleeves up because the button on the cuff hits the strings.
Nathan Rogers
I jerked off and cried
Caleb Clark
I put a little graphite in the nut. Everything is jiving and working smooth as butter. Can do full trem bombs and yank it down to the deck and it comes back to pitch perfectly.
Hudson Davis
Lubing the nut helps way more than lubing the saddles when it comes to tuning stability, but lubing the saddles will go a long ways towards preventing string breakage, so I recommend that too.
